Ohio State Jumps TCU For Final Spot In Playoff 

Yeah I was going to be shocked if Ohio State did not get in. People were talking about Wisconsin being a great team and Ohio State stomped them and had them put up a goose egg. That's what you get for no Conference final.

If OSU got the snub I would've been pissed for OSU fans. So glad OSU shut up those obnoxious Oregon and Alabama fans. And TCU needs to get over themselves they lost to Baylor and neither team was a top 4 team.

The problem for me was that they went from #3 to #6 after winning by 50. If they had not been #3, there probably wouldn't have been any controversy.

OSU beat Wisconsin by 59, shut down there Heisman contending running back, and did this in a Conference championship game. TCU blew out a 2 win team by 50 didn't even win there biggest game of the season against Baylor and didn't even play in a conference championship game. What controversy is there?

The fact they went from 3 to 6 at quite literally the last minute. If they looked at their "entire resume" there, there wouldn't be controversy.

I think you need to research what the word topple means. It is a slow and steady fall. What happened to ole miss was an asskicking but nonetheless pointless. If your gonna lose at all. Don't do it in conference play, ESPECIALLY when there's no conference championship game.

My point is TCU was nowhere near as good of a team as they were ranked this past year.

Yes they deserved to be ranked of course but in the top 6 right before the CFP? Yeah right, a couple of the ranked teams they beat were early in the season and ended up dropping off anyways. Whereas teams like OSU and Bama were firing up and playing top 10 opponents, rivals and conference championships the last 3 games of the season.

Yes, osu lost one game to virginia beginning of the season, more than a few months before the selection. But the committee also looked at how much the team had improved through out the season and they also looked at who were the 4 best teams at the time of selection. Compared to TCU who beat mediocre Iowa state, OSU played #11 wisconsin and won the game 59-0. Not letting #11 ranked winsconsin score even a field goal is impressive.

The rest of the ranked teams you won against, like Oklahoma/Oklahoma state/wv, all turned out they weren't as good as people thought they were. Look it up! They finished their season with more than 4 or 5 losses! Not even ranked.

Tcu lost to a ranked 5 Baylor by 3 points, while Baylor got blown out by 7-5 West Virginia team

TCU loss by 3 points to #5 Baylor > OSU loss by 14 points to unranked 7-6 (ACC 3-5) Virginia tech. Also has a comparable game against Minnesota where TCU had the better win by far. TCU more ranked wins. Most double digit wins. Literally everything was better

And instead of putting weight on that, you put more weight on who has the better loss? As an analogy, take a hypothetical 2 MMA fighters, we’ll call them John and Bob, and they are both 30-1 in their careers, both largely dominating everyone they fought. They fight each other, and John beats Bob, giving Bob his only loss. But John lost earlier on to Sam, who was an average MMA fighter that Bob beat. Is John then a worse fighter than Bob, even though he beat Bob straight up when they fought, since his loss is worse?
