TBDBITL performs a Michael Jackson tribute at halftime of the Iowa game. Be sure to follow us on Twitter for more OSU football and band coverage @buckeyetv
it does take a lot of work, im in my HS marching band, our formations are nowhere near as complex as this, and they take weeks of practice to get right.
@@theirrelevantmemer4962 i march for MIHS and the formation takes lots of practice, and the backwards marching is a basic marching technique, the trick is to keep your heel off the ground and your legs straight. :) edit: oh, lol i thought you were talking about the backwards marching not the formation
I've watched at least a dozen times. Marching bands rarely receive the awe and appreciation of such a huge crowd, but obviously, the OSU fans obviously knew they were watching something special. Just listen to their reaction during and and the conclusion of the moonwalk.
i was thinking the same thing i would pay to go to the football game just to see them lol I'm Jamaican...they did a great job with the tribute they sounded so beautiful too I cried oh so touching I wanna donate money to this school and I aint been there!!! lol
urenda573 That's probably the most ignorant and uneducated comment ever. You do realise that religion helped shape and build many of the world's civilization, right? The only bad thing about religion is when manipulative people twist religious texts for their own personal gain and create actual cults instead of using religion for it''s intended purpose: to help people. Please, do your research before making such imbecilic comments.
Kyzer Pizarro they are oaud haters the samepeople who pay the media to spread lies on MJ they pay these trolls they thought MJ would be ruined but lots lots of people still love MJ
You always have a few disagreeables- typically 1-2% no matter how great the video, but in the hyper competitive sports arena seems to have doubled to 4%. Not all that surprising. Like someone said: “Michigan fans!
ppaannddaa _ would you like it if you put a shit ton of time into a whole show, which does look and sound great, then have someone call you a loser? These guys dont get as much time as blue devils or bluecoats, its super inconsiderate of how much effort they've put into their show and call them losers.
Dattebaketchup Acapella Man yeah but its stupid to even play for a college in the first place. All they get is halftimes and no competituon exists there
Is it really weird that I almost cried when they starting making him do the moonwalk and the crowd cheered?...Omg Michael Jackson's legacy is so powerful and will last forever.
My grandson came in,and said this was an awesome marching band. This is Ohio State, Buckeye TV (student T,V.) He is right, they are fantastic. This tribute is to Michael Jackson the King of Pop.
To all haters YOU ARE WRONG!!!!! Michael Jackson is the king and rumors are false!!! Everything you hear are not always true!!! Michael I love you♥♥♥ and this tribute was AMAZING!!!! you are the king
"And could he dance!" The routine that follows commanded the attention of the crowd to a degree unparalleled in all the years of halftime shows I've seen over the years. And I'm 70.
I am a marching band nerd and non of my friends are. I mention this all the time as my life goal and non of them get it. I'm looking for a marching band nerd for a friend. Anyone?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
i miss My years in the marching bad .. in my country the students who are part of the band are the best no nerds they are very popular . cause everybody knows Play music is hard and super cool... I used to play drums and something call Bell Lyre is like the xylophone but small.. I was in band for 5 years
+Abs C-V my marching band trilogy is just starting, im a freshman this year and im on my fourth week of marching band and i love it (alto saxophone btw)
As of this date, 13.3 million views. The reaction of the crowd to Michael Jackson's dance has to be one of the outstanding moments of any half time show of any football game ever.
Just like the commentator said, "He may be gone, but his music still lives through us." I really enjoyed this. It brightened my day. I am a HUGE Michael Jackson fan
Of all the half-time shows there have ever been, no band has ever been cheered like this for a brilliant performance that cannot be topped. No straight lines! Original. Captivating.
Absolutely amazing! I can't find the words to say how great this is. Michael J. deserves it. Gone too soon! We will always love you MJ! Thank you for posting!
for some reason I am watching this for the first time and its making me get all choked up and teary eyed, I dont know where the students now are after ten years but I hope they know they really made a magical memory with this tribute. and even ten years later it still strikes a chord. THANK YOU!
If only you were here, Everyone's doing things in your honour but where are you? My eyes have no tears left in them to cry for you, I can't smile because my heart is broken. If only you were here, You could make a change You could heal the wounded world If only you were here We could stand together and change how people are selfish hateful and greediness and the way they love evilness Together we'd cure the children If you were only here I'd do anything to prove you right and to introduce you the way I perceived you to the world If we're only here I could see you moonwalk You could meet your beautiful impersonators and would tell them that you're proud of them If I were born earlier I could heal, protect, love u alive. I could not let the terrifying darkness to shadow you I would take all the clouds of allegation off your sky If all 'ifs' could be given a chance...
I miss the days when broadcast television would show all the bands' halftime shows (I grew up watching them as a kid with my dad). Thank goodness some of the best are online now!
I have always have respect for The Ohio St. Marching band! Their shows and formations are second to none! They’re sick! I hope one day to see their band up close and personal! Fellow alumni from an H.B.C.U. Band!
I watched this on tv and I couldn't believe they nailed this. I'm a huge Ohio State Buckeyes fan and I loved how the band pulled off the moonwalk. If Michael were alive to see this he would be awestruck.
This halftime MJ Tribute never gets old!!! This performance is as great and spine chilling to watch today as it was 10 years ago!! KUDOS OSU!!! Thank you!
I've never seen them before, not being a sports fan, but,OMG !! Have I missed out !! What an incredible band ! That can't be even close to an easy thing to do and yet they pull it of like it's nothing . I'm in complete awe !! Fantastic , amazing, awesome and whatever other words to compliment I'm unable to think of right now !! Heck, I might even start watching the games after seeing this, well, ok , halftime anyway for sure. Lol You all are incredible, and thank you for sharing this so I can see what I've been missing.
Omg!!! I have chills!! Although I'm a M fan... I love you Ohio!!! Absolutely amazing band and school. I love MJ. People can say what they want.. His talent.. Wow.. No words for it. Never convicted of the garbage people pulled. World record for charities given too... Music had a message and it wasn't dope and ho's and look at me and what I got. M&M and JZ and all like them.. Should take a page from his book. I will always love MJ!!!!
That drum major tho'. He's doing THAT! I thoroughly enjoyed this show, Ohio State keep doing your thang. I'm not mad at all. Every now and then I come here to watch this particular video. Love Love Love it!
