During the college basketball game between Ohio and Michigan, the Bobcats came up with a wild play to send the game to overtime when their inbounds pass hit off the backboard and they were able to score a buzzer beating layup to tie it at 63-63. Michigan was able to hold off the Bobcats however, ultimately winning the game 70-66.

Actually it happened on 2015 when Northwestern played Michigan in a late regular season basketball game with the score tied and 1.2 seconds left on the clock. They threw a deep pass down the other end of the court where the guy caught it just next to the bucket and made the layup to win the game. Sports experts said it was that game that sent Northwestern to the NCAA tournament for the first time in its history.

Looks like the ball hit just the right spot to not bounce too far away .

The guy that originally was going to throw it in is the one that got the rebound for the first shot.

His foot crossed the line on the inbounds pass and the clock operator delayed the start. He didn't get the 2nd shot of 2.1 seconds after the ball hit the rim it was more like 3 seconds.
