Ohlins Motorcycle Suspension
www.revzilla.com/ohlins?...
It is very possible that Ohlins makes the most premium motorcycle suspension in the world. That is not a stretch by any means. While “best” is a subjective term, there is no denying the transformative effects that adding a set of Ohlins to your bike will allow for. From handling to braking and power delivery, Ohlins Suspension goes many levels deep when it comes to improved ride quality. In this overview, Spurgeon outlines the brand and the products known and adored by motorcycle aficionados around the world.

Please recommend front and rear fully adjustable suspensions for Benelli TNT300/ Bn302. Couldn't find on the website. Fully adjustable TTX suspension for the rear and Fully adjustable suspension cartridges for the front USD forks.

Unfortunately, Ohlins does not make any suspensions for that model of Benelli, and we do not have any options from other brands either currently. -DrewZilla

Is it possible to change the front forks springs and oil while still on the bike? By loosening the top pinch bolt, removing the cap and extracting the washer, spring and oil?
@sahzookey

Meme Wizard I also forgot about needing to pumping the fork upside down to get out the left over oil.

Meme Wizard interesting. Is that a normal thing for most? Or more likely on an upside-down style fork?

My bike isn't on your site unfortunately. Kymco AK550. I don't like the bumpy slide effect I get from stock at low speed, and it has no adjustment. I'd like rebound damping but how do I get one for my bike?

HELP! I'm designing a sled that use 4 shocks. The sled plus rider will be from 50-220# and incant find any that are less than 350#. It seems like that's total overkill. I don't know enough about shocks to make any purchases. Any generic info would be appreciated

Triumph Daytona 675R. Insane what this bike has. For a 600cc it’s top tier amongst the other bikes in its class. Ohlins, brembos. 405lbs wet. Can’t beat it.

Factory ohlins is NOT the same as aftermarket ohlins.. Factory ohlins is junk..
@DmanGuitar327
@DmanGuitar327 4 года назад
@@slovencleta do you think that ohlins would put lets say $5000 worth of fork internals into a street bike that is suppose to sell for about 20,000.. they cant jusify the price, so they use externals that are ohlins but some internals are changed to keep the cost down. A oem ttx and a aftermarket race ttx , must have differences internally, because again, on a bike thats gonna sell for 25k, why would they sell it fitted with a race kit ttx right from factory? Ohlins oem and ohlins aftermarket have their differences internally, thats what im saying. Ive heard suspension specialists say that ohlins from factory does not perform like ohlins race aftermarket. . I am only talking about race kit.. as idc about street oem ohlins.. track ohlins stuff is the best
@DmanGuitar327
@DmanGuitar327 4 года назад
@@slovencleta ok, well look up your factory ohlins components on your triumph, look at the replacement stuff for the same bike from ohlins.. if they list a for example ttx36 for it, then obvs the ttx36 on the bike isnt the same as the one for sale aftermarket.. but if it doesnt list it for the R model, then you are right and you have the race version.. i just cant see ohlins putting their cartridge kits or full superbike forks a street bike, because then how do they sell them those components afterwards? Same w brembo, factory brembo calipers are great, but are they as good as the aftermarket race brembo? Hell no not even close .. same applies for ohlins . Thats my .02 ohlins will always be the king of suspension, because they spends alot of time and money in r&d . Look up upgrades from ohlins for the 675r . I bet they make a rear shock and forks and or cartridge kits for it .. meaning its a upgrade over the stock oem components ,that at a certain level cannot handle what thr rider is putting it through.. meaning you need to upgrade lol. But us mere mortals the oem stuff is fine. I have a stx46 ohlins w preload adjuster for my srad. Will i ever use all of its potential.. hell no,will it makd it perform better at my level? Hell ya.. does it look wicked being its 20years old and looks new.. hell ya .

Does the STX46 YYA335 for the MT-09 have separated rebound and compression adjustability?
@RevZilla
@RevZilla 6 лет назад
No, the YA 335 does not have compression adjustment. It is type code S46DR1, which means it's a single tube shock (S) with a 46mm diameter piston (46), a high pressure gas type shock absorber with internal reservoir (D), and adjustable rebound damping (R1). The type code does not include the letter C, so it does not have adjustable compression damping. It does have preload adjustment though. -DrewZilla

I was lucky.. My Triumph Speed Triple R comes with Ohlins TTX rear and NIX front along with Brembo M50 brakes as standard. If I had to pay all that money to bring another bike up to the same standard I would be crying right now... If you can, buy a higher spec motorbike to start with, you'll save money in the long run if decent suspension and brakes are important to you .

how many inches can you drop with just ohlins shock? can it drop up to like 3-4 inches? is it okay and better if i just get that instead of rear billet lowering link (4.5) since im not really sure if 4.5 drop is ok for me.
@RevZilla
@RevZilla 5 лет назад
It all depends on the bike. 3-4 inches is a massive drop in ride height. What year/make/model bike do you ride? -DrewZilla

@@RevZilla 2018 honda grom abs theres 2.5 and 4.5 rear billet lowering link most lowered groms went with 4.5 while stretched. but I might feel like i might want somewhere in between these numbers, idk yet, still deciding since ive no idea. Thanks for the response, really appreciate your time Drewzilla.
@RevZilla
@RevZilla 5 лет назад
Ah ok. Everything's different for a Grom compared to larger motorcycles, so those lowered heights make sense now. An Ohlins shock is only going to allow an inch or so of ride height adjustment. Unless you're building a Grom to race in mini-moto, I'd skip the Ohlins shock and just go with lowering links. -DrewZilla

Öhlins is fine and dandy but like you see on the example the price is a bit hihg? 800 bucks for a shock for a ninja 400 is a bit steep. Anyway, you got the cash then go ahead, it is top tier stuff but even though I am Swede I prefer going with smaller brands like Nitron/Hagon and the like for half if not the fraction of a price for pretty much if not even more functionality/adjustability.
@SpurgeonDunbar
@SpurgeonDunbar 6 лет назад
Pillokun in some cases the Nitron shocks are even pricier that the Öhlins option here in the US. I would argue that for most folks using the Ninja 400 as a beginner bike on the street the base suspension will be just fine. However, for those out there like myself who are modding one out for track use, getting a fully adjustable suspension upgrade front and rear for around $1,600 bucks isn’t that crazy. You know that when you’re buying a bike like the Ninja, some of the components will need to be upgraded. But that’s the beauty of the bike being so affordable!
