Yeah I’ve got one too,I’ve had 3,last about 3yrs. Mine have but I’m a truck driver so it’s always on,running or backlit. Use the FM to send it to your radio,makes it easy to hear and mute. You could buy a phone and sat nav round suction cup,to stick on your dash gives more options 👍
No probs, you want the unit flat,resting on the dashboard.if not it’ll shake and bounce because it’s top heavy. I have mine on a glass coaster sat on the dash(it’s safe and don’t move) another thing,if you tap the top left it’ll tell you what exit you want before you get there,like on a motorway slip road so your able to get in the right lane in advance. Best sat nav best display. Basic view is best. Good luck 👍

Have an Ohrex as well. Actually three... First one went loopy so they sent a new one. That went mad too. Have been using the third one over a year now. No problems. Great for the price.

Hi Bill, we are always honest in our vlogs , and to be fair, this sat nav is really worth the money , we’ve travelled far and wide and it’s been spot on, the odd new road pops up here and there, but on the whole, for the price .. highly recommend it 👌🙂
I would guess this unit comes in different cases but the same inners perhaps ? It’s a good bit of kit to be fair and bang on for the money ! Did you replace yours ? Thanks for sharing your experience ❤️
This review seemed to be before you used it on a trip...how did you find it while on trip? We have one and it has so many configurations that are bewildering. Have you updated software on yours? Am finding it challenging to do. It'd be fab if Ohrex sees my message..I sent them an email asking what a symbol meant on the screen which appeared when driving in France and got no reply.
Excellent review so much so I went and bought one. But in the Vechiles dimensions yours is in ft I can only seem to get it in Yrds. Don’t suppose you know what part to got into to change this Thanks Stephen.
Hi Stephen, I just use an online converter from metres to feet and put it in that way, not sure where you can change it on the system sorry , but it’s a good bit of kit 🙂

Is this legal to use in France with regard to Speed Camera detection. Does it give warning for exact locations of cameras, or does it just have a known data base not active speed detection.
@@redsgotravels thanks for the reply but is disabling enough for the law in France. I read this ; ' Penalties can be issued if you're using the device or if you simply have it in the car, even if it's switched off.'
Even phones have apps on them to identify the location, this is a fixed database , you may well be correct , but I’ve never heard of anyone being prosecuted , my van wouldn’t go fast enough anyway 😂😂
@@redsgotravels That’s great news, I need it as we go to France and Spain with the caravan. The one have got now has them on but it has packed in on me.
I have an old Xgody unit. The set up looks exactly the same and the guidence is great. The problem is when the ambient light in the cab is bright or I wear a light coloured tee shirt the screen reflects this and it's difficult to see any detail on the screen. Has the screen quality improved to rectify this?
The unit really has a good display, can’t say we really noticed any issues with light affecting the screen, seemed to be good in both dark and light conditions, it really is a great little unit 👍👍 thanks for watching and commenting 🙂
