Would recommend to replace crush washer each time you change oil. Also this model year Hondas are famous to have failed threads in the oil pan drain plug. So better invest $90 for vaccuum oil suction kit and save yourself a pain to have to repair the threads or deal with oil leaks or have to replace entire pan.

Is there not any oil drain plug crush washer for the 01 to 05 Honda Civic hybrid?
