Looking at the old oil I think you did the right thing by changing it "early" and good camera work considering your positioning

12:31 for future reference it’s a ford diagnostic thing if you put the gas to the floor and crank the key for 5 seconds or so you can build oil pressure without the vehicle starting. Then take your foot off the gas and start it up.

Horrible lol. Probably between 5-8 MPG. I gotta fill her once a day she’s always thirsty. I heard way too many stories of guys having issues with their diesel tool trucks so decided to go gas. So far so good!

@@levithetoolguy1267 are you idling at each stop too? I had to consider mileage vs idle/hour depreciation on my fire companies command vehicles… fun fact I came up within our usage is a typical personal vehicle that idles for 1 hour is equivalent to 33 miles of driving…. In reference To emergency response, ( we idle, pump, generation, etc more than we actually rack on driving miles) it’s almost cut in half : 1hr idling/ 17miles of driving… … for for example, we retired our 18yo 129k mile command vehicle, 2000 Ford Expedition with the 4.6l if you do my math it sounds like low mileage but equivalent to 7,588 hours on the engine….. our PD vehicles that idle all day everyday, woof figure it out using that math, the manufacturer oil service is like 3x fold extended! moral of my explanation: you may want to stick to early oil changes, but as you accrue hours/miles hopefully this will help you

@@levithetoolguy1267 what your losing in MPG’s your making up in less issues, also this 7.3 for the complete engine, not a short block is 10k shipped , that’s barely enough to cover 1 injection job on a 6.7 diesel, and the diesels are having non stop DPF and emission troubles. They don’t last like they used to.
