Thanks for this, just got my 2023 650 KRT and I'm in love again! XOXO. Great mid range starter bike. License tested on a Honda CBR400 and that was it... HAD to get a sport bike. Knew the 400 would be too small and now I know why people get 1000's! No regrets with this. Will definitely graduate to a ZX H2 or SX next. Keep the videos coming, great stuff!
Had it for almost a year now and still love the 650 and I agree with you that I'm also looking for a 1000 lol. I think if I started on a liter, I would've been sent flying! Thanks for the support 🙏
Hi, so thanks for the instructions. So clear and better than anyone ive seen 🎉 After oil and oil filter change tho, i started the engine and there are weird smoke and smell coming off the exhaust pipe near the oil filter. Do you suppose this was the oils that leaked or dropped when removing the oil filter? Thanks again!
Yes, it's just the oil burning off the exhaust, it'll be be a bit of smoke then disappear once it's all burned off. And thanks for watching, glad it was helpful!
@@RideNTides If you ever do any other maintenance for your 650 (lubing chain, replacing air filter, filling coolant levels, etc.) It'd be cool if you made videos on those processes too. I've never owned a motorcycle prior to my '22 650 so it'd help heaps to see the maintenance processes for the same exact bike from someone who seems to know what they're doing. You actually do good camera angles too, which I really like (most ppl who make maintenance guides lack in that department) I'm a college student so any money I can save by doing maintenance myself is a plus. I'm unfortunately not mechanically inclined so these type of vids are very insightful. Thanks!
@@RideNTides it came from Japan filled in at the top label, the instructions say to fill in between the labels, I asked the service, the service man said that I also fill in at the top label, since the levels are lower in turns, but there is an oil pump there , what difference does it make what angles in turns? What do you think about this?
@@work_at_sea2178 I don’t think it’ll make any difference in turns if you’re worried about the pump, I’ve put mine on the track and scraped my pegs well before anything else. You should be fine
Rather than smell you can tell oil is bad based on feel. If it feels gritty the oil probably needs to be changed. But compared to good oil, I guess bad oil would kind of smell burnt.
@@RideNTides No, there is no smoke. The engine runs fine. It doesn't eat oil. How much of concern is it? Will it speed up engine's components wear? Or should I just ignore it. I bought the bike brand new. I've breaked it in respectfully. Have been riding it dynamically but I wasn't killing it.
@@Jurica-mtb Hmm that's hard to say without me knowing too much about it. If it was brand new then I wouldn't worry too much. Doesn't hurt to take it in for a look if it's under warranty from where you got it so you have a peace of mind.
Sure, the MV Agusta would be great. Also wondering if you enjoy simply stopping and putting fuel into your bike? Gassing up my car is a ho-hum event, but I get a lot of satisfaction adding fuel to my motorcycle.
@@RideNTides been looking for those but didn’t found anything I can actually see on a ninja and since we have the same one and yeah they look good! I have done couple things to mine that I haven’t seen them on your let me know and can send you some pictures so you can compare
