Today I have cooked amaranth in my lunch but it's not cooked like quinoa and it's very sticky and very difficult to eat. Please guide how to cook amaranth?
What we understand is that food should be local to be gut friendly and readily digestible...quinoa is not only highly expensive its also not native to india... Also gluten is a protein type which is known to cause celiac disease in a very small percentage of populaition... Rest are absolutely ok with it... Whats the logic in going for market friendly exoitic foods... when our very own food basket is so rich diverse and pocket as well as gut friendly
True. The foreign grains aren't palatable to the Indian taste buds, also they are pretty expensive. I tried oats, but they taste so bad that I feel like I have wasted my valuable money on it.
