Very good video yet again. I'm just painting Arnold Palmer and I've got to paint his hands holding the golf club during a swing, so they will be one of the main focus of the painting. Naturally his face is the other focus. Thanks for your tips. Here in Thailand I live near to six or seven golf courses and my plan is to visit each one and see if I can sell my golf paintings to their club members and possibly receive commissions. I've got three to sell. Seve Ballersteros, Jack Nicklaus and of course Arnold Palmer. I only mention this, because it may help some of your other viewers to visit their local golf clubs and do the same thing Kind regards to all .................... Chris in Thailand
Great tutorial as ever I think this will be a great help with hands , my personal nightmare, and also values . Since following you I can see more understanding and improvement in my painting Thanks again
I think the hardest is emotions. Out of the 6 basic emotions (sadness, happiness, fear, anger, surprise and disgust), I find more complexe emotions or mixed emotion like sorrow (not quite sadness), nostalgia (happiness that becomes bitter), etc. to be way harder to illustrate accuratly since a single missed stroke can change it all
Nice video! Thanks for breaking it down! One thing I struggle to paint is transparent fabric on the human for I hope you can help me find how to artistically approach this problem. Thank you.
+1 subscriber ... you really pointed out key points which most tutorials miss.... gr8 explanation.... Query 1: you said in another video..."don't do your paintings in one go".... was that the case with this hands painting? Query 2: When you take break between two sittings over a painting, what is your objective? Do you see certain checkpoints to achieve before you keep it aside as stage 1... and return later to start with stage 2.... so my query is.. what could be these stages one should focus on?
Definitely will save this video to see how I do. I'm just stopping by supporting other creatives making magic before I 😴! Fully watched. Liked. Shared. Take Care. Stay Connected.
I am simply terrified to paint without a detailed drawing! I am capable of it... i have done it but my drawing is my safety net... so i struggle with just painting without a detailed drawing.
