Around 100 paintings and a year into learning oil painting, I painted one featuring a woman in a wheat field that had some major issues. Now that I'm almost two years and 200+ paintings into it, I thought this might be a good candidate for a redo. So, in this video, I start with a comparison of both paintings, one from September 2023 and a new one from August 2024, to see if I learned from my previous mistakes. Then, I dive into a time lapse discussion of the process for the new portrait.
