Nice video. I am going to change my oil pan in my 2001 ram plow truck next week. The pan rusted out and is pissing oil. I was hoping to do it in spring/summer with nice weather, but I can't wait any longer and still use the truck. I appreciate your info on bolt sizing and your video of you dropping the pan. I was worried it wouldn't clear the cross member, but looks like you got it out of there fairly easily. Thanks again!!!!

You mentioned that it was struggling to accelerate was this really the solution to that my pressure has been dropping as well

Or a tooth off a nylon timing gear. The oil pressure going up and down was probably the sender

If you have fluctuating oil pressure, it also pays to check your pressure sensor and connector before dropping the pan.

When your taking about your gasket oil pan gasket I seen it, check video the part that unexplaining about the gasket

Looks like a chewed up valve seal. Umbrella type. Some are white plastic

I have the same truck did u have to Jack up the motor to get the oil Pan out

I have the 1994 dodge ram B250 trying to remove the oil pan is a pain, not enough clearance between the outer bottom oil pan and the cross member I haven't t removed the oil dipstick maybe that's what is holding the oil pan. I'm not for sure, I will try again the next day and give it a go any tips or suggestions to help pull this thing out?

I have a 1995 ram van 2500. 5.9 engine. I was told I had a bad oilpan gasket and it was easy to replace so I bought all the stuff I needed and tried to do it myself. Didn't know I had to lift the engine. I got the pan detached but I can't remove it. There's too many obstructions. I removed the starter and the brackets holding the transmission to the engine. The pan won't drop down. Im not a auto mechanic. Just your average DIY cat. Does anyone have any advice? I'd sure appreciate it. Thanks.
