When it comes to paint markers, the number one question I always get is "What's the difference between oil-based and water-based markers, and which one is best?" Well, the answer is a little complicated, but I'm going to dive deep into the pros and cons of each one!

I recently used staedtler permanent marker and it was worse. I couldn't figure out which one should I use it on glass. This video was really helpful. It clears a lot of things.

Good explanation for the difference cause I would to buy some of these and we use it in the oil refinery to write on the lines, but the brand is Japanese I think Stanford or Mitsubishi and they are great but big tip. Thank you very much for your video.

I’m looking for a marker for a durable marker to use on plastic labels at a plant nursery. The labels are exposed to the weather and direct sunlight. I’m thinking the oil based paint marker. What do you think?

Thanks , very informative. I used oil based sharpie on a finished wood tray. Do we need to apply any sealant after painting on a finished wood, so that the design will not fade awayHRWCPF

My green oil Sharpie I just shook, pushed in tip and touched the tip down and watched it flow to tip, it started pouring out in a puddle then stopped. It was juicy, too much so.

Can someone help me I bought all types of oil markers and stuff and non of them work. They come right off and never dry. I put them on some plastic and steel and no matter how long I wait it never dries and stayed it immediately wipes off easily

before i even start watching the video i just want to say that 15 minutes is entirely too long to talk about this subject. it only took me 30 seconds on amazon to figure out theres different kinds of paint markers
