an avarage hydraaylic linepuller haul 300 kg if its a spesialised linehauler for the thickness of line shown in this video. it pulls the line out from most minor rocks, and if the line is cut by say a sharp rock most norwegian fishermen use floats on BOTH ENDS. SO USUALLY THEY SAVE ALL THE GEAR. BUT SOME bigger boats use thicker lines and more powerfull line haulers at realy deep water. in the 80s i was crew on a 78 feet boat fishing summers on the banks outside north of norway for Spotted wolf fish we used 8 mm rope and a hauler that took power from the 8 ton net hauler. but on thye positive side, those banks are mostly sand - mud almost no rocks, hehe. limefiske blir aldri helautomatisk. hehe men det sparer my jobb å bare måtte bytte avslitte kroker og at det nesten ikke blir vase-krøll med tau og kroker.. i videoen vises ikke den hydrauliske agnkuttern som er ca som en brødkjæremaskin med masse roternde kniver som kutter feks makrell like fort som man klarer å slippe de inn i maskinen. de fleste som har egna line vet at det som tar tid er at alt er dratt ned i en stamp med krokene strødd løse rundt,, hvis man bare drar i tauet blir det fort VASE. hehe
