I loved this cereal. I used to have all of the Starbots. Also, they had an orange Nerds cereal as one of the combinations (with Cherry on the other side)
I never tasted this, but I remember the commercial vividly. That voice in the commercial was hilarious! And you're right at 2:49, they should have had a cross promotion with O.J. Simpson! They could have released it during the Naked Gun movies where he was so funny!
@@CerealTimeTV I took a 15 year old coupon (no expiry date) to HMV store. The worker went to see her manager then came back after 5 minutes and told me, "Sorry for the wait. Oh the coupon is valid, it's just that everyone in the back was curious to see it."
This cereal was awesome and I remember it vividly. Time for these cereal manufacturers to go back into their vaults and resurrect some and see how they do. Even if it's for a limited time. Another great video. Still hoping there's a Ralston Ghostbusters cereal video on the horizon. Lol
Years ago, General Mills brought back Fruit Yummy Mummy cereal for a limited time. It was orange flavored as well. And you're right, with milk orange flavored cereal has a sort of orange ice cream flavor to it. Honestly, one of the most addictive cereals I ever ate. I got tons of boxes of Yummy Mummy throughout the Halloween season that year. (I believe it was 2017 or so) Sadly, they haven't brought it back since. It's a real shame.
Hey, now that Cap'n Crunch had the Orange Creampop flavor, (Limited Edition) there are 5 orange cereals in history. I loved that Creampop flavor. Wish I could try these.
I liked this cereal when it was available I got it twice and I liked it but then it was gone and I would really like to see it again back on the shelves.
I vaguely remember these and and they were yummy. Fruit Loops & Trix have lemon & orange flavors and nobody thinks they're gross. They should bring it back.
Kellogg's fumbled the ball... Should have gotten O.J. Simpson to hawk this. Could have had his photo on the box... Of course, a cartoon cowboy is much cheaper. No one in 1985 could have guessed that 9 years later, his image was shot.
I loved this cereal too!! I often find myself wishing it was around. Kellogg's new Tropical Froot Loops (which is pretty good) has hints of it because of the orange loops, but it's definitely not as tangy. They should bring it back!
I think the late 80s and nineties were the golden age of cereals. Whereas we seem to be in the golden age of cookies and potato chips. So many new flavors out now, yet cereals remain the same minus the new movie gimmick shit.
I remember the commercial as touting 'the only cereal that you pour orange juice on' (instead of milk) Mandela effect? Or was there another commercial that showed that as a last ditch effort to save the failing cereal?
I ate these quite a bit when I was a kid. I enjoyed them. Main reason why my mom bought them was for the free offer coupons, lol. I also had two out of four of those Starbots. They were very low budget Gobots and broke easily. :(
They were probably giving away free ice cream because the cereal industry is tied in with the dairy industry. Any additional ways they could get kids to consume dairy was attempted.

Didn't Kellog's come out with an orange flavored/colored version of Corn Pops about 10 years ago to tie in with the Final Four championship playoff. Really loved that. Went to all the local grocery stores buying up the last old boxes after the promotion was over.

I think auto hiding the controls is not a good thing to do and I wish they would change it back so the player control panel is in view all the time and does not cover any of the video
In Spain we have sappige oranje partytjie (juicy orange party) they are lite trix but ALL orange and they have white yogurt covered hoops! I personally dislike them but they are very popular!

I don’t have a box of that one so I never did a dedicated video about it. I think I talk about it in the golden crisp video. But I doubt I’ll ever be able to get my hands on a box of it 😔
