Unfortunately damage doublers don’t synergize well with Axonil. They and axonil are replacement effects so the player taking the damage gets to decide the order the replacement effects go in. Example, you ping each opponent for one, opponent chooses to double the 1 to 2, then the 2 is replaced by axonils power becoming 4 total

I am an absolute Burn Mage (have 1-2 Burn decks in almost every format) & I've hemmed & hawed over building Torbran or Imodane as my Commander Burn Deck & just when I was about to settle this Mother F'er erupts onto the scene with A freakin' Skull Head, Dino Arm, & Flaming Sword to finally give Pyrohemia the home it never knew it needed! Funny thing about drilling the decks. I played at a lgs where they played for pink slips being the losing decks. The deck I won I drilled the deck in front of him with a 7/8 paddle bit haha
