@@Royay I’d have thought hold them closed? I think fish get oxygen by moving blood through their gills and exchanging CO2 for Oxygen (and dumping the equivalent of urine from their gills as well). I’m not certain on this, but I think that means that holding them open would allow the fish to breathe, albeit poorly. Closing the gills covers should kill it... but I could be wrong. I’ve kept a lot of aquariums over the years but I’m not biologist. What a weird conversation, eh?

@@aaronws9561 fish use counter current flow where their blood and the flow of water (containing oxygen) move in opposite directions across their gill lamallae (part of gilll with blood capillaries, or the exchange surface) so if pulled back possibly dead and closed for long enough definetly

My dad, master carpenter, built houses and office and apartment buildings..... hated exploded diagrams. He would wait at the house in the garage to put together a frikking water hose reel... would wait till I got there, then he would go to coffee with the boys while I put together the stuid thing, but other construction guys would ask him to make sense out of some blueprints.... was hilarious.

If you haven't worked in fast food, you don't know how something as simple as the person on the grill or the person calling the wrong stuff out can easily back up an entire kitchen. I used to work at Sonic and that kitchen went from a well oiled machine to an absolute cluster cluck in 5 minutes all because someone came back to complain that their wasn't enough pickles on their burger or the soft drink didn't have enough ice. So i apologize if people didn't get it right but just a little insight into the kitchen life. It isn't always that easy.
