They were such a great band. So unique when they first came out. You would probably like Goodby Stranger as well. Epic song

Songwriter Roger Hodgson said about the song: "'The Logical Song' was born from my questions about what really matters in life. Throughout childhood we are taught all these ways to be and yet we are rarely told anything about our true self. We are taught how to function outwardly, but not guided to who we are inwardly. Pretty accurate in my opinion, and a rather deep question for such a pop sounding song.

They definitely have their own unique sound. They were so creative. Great Reaction!

Supertramp's 'Breakfast In America' album that this song comes from is an absolute gem. Somehow, they managed to prodcue a bunch of songs that are all different from each other but have a consistent 'feel' (it's hard to explain...). You honestly couldn't go wrong reacting to any of them.

The moment you understand the music is seen in your smile every time, Mo. And I like that. Supertramp was a smash band in the 1970s and 80s. My favorite song is Goodbye Stranger. Listen to it if you like.

This one takes me back. I went to Roger Hodgson's house (the singer) once in Nevada City CA. He wasn't there but a young lady invited me there, one night, in 1983. I think she may have been house-sitting. That's my only Supertramp story...other than I did own a couple of their albums back then. And yes...you look flawless today. As always♥

I loved this song and the whole Breakfast in America album when it came out and still do. As a bit of an audiophile in the 80s and 90s, this would be always be one of the songs I would like to play to show off equipment.

The Long Way Home is arguably the best and most memorable song that Supertramp produced.

No mattter how bad your day at work was There is nothing a little Supertramp on the radio on the way home won't fix.

Bloody well right it is a classic.

Supertramp are great. Ive been listening to them since their first breakthrough songs when i was a kid. Their lyrics are always super insightful but paired with a kind of innocent sounding musical arrangement the effect is often amazingly powerful. ‘Goodbye stranger’ is one of those songs, as is the Logical Song. By the way, have you seen any super tramp videos? They were always 70s glam flamboyant - massive platform boots, sequins, huge afros. They are worth watching when you listen to them.
