I’m pretty sure the price has gone up. I’m here trying to figure out what I can actually do without paying. So far, it has only allowed me to be motivated to try to figure out how to do anything..... I'm so glad I've found and listened to your review. My logistical situation leaves me a very limited field of potential mates to meet 'in the wild' and, I'm no shrinking violet when it comes to 'getting out there' and approaching persons of interest. So, what to do? Online dating/matchmaking. Which one? I don't mind admitting that I'm a picky customer, mainly on personality, outlook, ability to self-moderate tendencies toward too-polarized 'political expression' etc-I've lived too many places around the world for anyone who wants to build walls, rather than bridges. It seems like OkC might be the platform for me. Unless there's an "OKdad" site I don't know about? :D

The only way to get dates through online dating is to be interesting and good looking. People are really judgmental and picky on there. I’ve been trying to date online for years and only met one girl but we broke up. This is me just trying to be myself and I usually begin conversations with “how’s everything” or “how’s it going”. Apparently girls think that anyone who says this is worthless and not worth their time. I’m really lonely and still don’t have a girlfriend. 😣

Honestly I usually wouldn't answer the generic "how's it going" openers either. And it's not you, it's just that it's hard to start a meaningful conversation that way. You can casually text someone "hey what's up" once you know them, but as a starter, getting that message just feels like work. Like I'm gonna have to make an effort to keep it going. What's much better is to ask them about something that's on their profile. I met my now boyfriend on okcupid and I messaged first, asking about what he sold on his Etsy shop, because he mentioned he had one. That started a conversation about his interests that didn't stop. I know it can be hard but just try to be a bit more personable! Sometimes getting those messages as a girl just feels like a guy is throwing a bunch of stuff at a wall until something sticks, and doesn't make us want to respond. Cause I'm gonna bet you'd send every girl in your list the same "how's it going" message back to back. And we know that! Lol try to find someone you're actually interested in and focus on them

Lol if you say “hey what’s up”, that’s 100% on you. Women typically get hundreds of matches but even if they didn’t, “hey what’s up” is so low effort. Bring up something in their bio/pictures/etc. that interests you. If you can’t do that, the match wouldn’t be worth it anyway. And, yeah, you should be somewhat good-looking, it demonstrates that you *care*. Unless you have a hopelessly busted face, there’s nothing about your looks that you can’t fix with 3-6 months and discipline, the very discipline necessary to be a good partner anyway. And, while we’re on it, yeah, you should be interesting too. Nobody wants to be bored. It sounds like you feel entitled to getting a match by “being yourself” but if “being yourself” means blandness and non-interest, you’re *always* going to have an uphill battle on dating apps. It’s been a year so you may have had enough sheer time to get lucky and get another date/gf out of your standard operating procedure, but it would have been (or, will be) easier if you look/ed better, try/tried harder, and make/made yourself more intriguing (job, skill, hobby, stories, fun facts, etc.). And don’t get it twisted, I’m no manosphere-MRA-PUA freak: those qualities aren’t good because they get you laid or whatever… they get you laid or whatever because they’re good traits to have in the first place, *absent women*. If you wouldn’t date yourself, why would anyone else, y’know? Godspeed to you, brother, it’s hard out there.

All of the reviews here for just about every dating app clearly show they have never used the app!! All dating apps are pretty much worthless. Filled with scammers, fake profiles, and people who say they’re looking for love but really love their single alone life (that seems to be true for the woman in particular).

all these websites you are talking about in your channels are not fully free and outside america are not free at all....all they do is giving you a trial of limited messages to send and then they ask you to upgrade your acount.......in this case the way you can communicate for free is adding peaple randomly and once they accept your request you can start a limitless conversation with them

If y'all didn't know already and I thought this channel would know this by now all dating apps charge you based on your age race and whether you are male or female, most people don't know this because you can only see your app but the older you get and if you are a man you will be charged more than if you are a woman and younger. I know this because I've compared the prices with my friends and we all get charged different prices. You look in the app store the reviews the people complaining about the prices notice that it's all older white men 🤣 cuz like you're going to make you pay if you want to creep

I joined OkCupid and have asked - maybe - 10 or 12 women out on a date. Is that too many at once? Just kidding. I asked them individually - but, none have responded. I'm an electrical engineer living in Silicon Valley - I own my own home (bought that with my own hard-earned money), technically I own my one company (I'm a consultant - 5 years now), and I'm a musician. I'd say OkCupid just don't work for men - or maybe short men. Anywho - I have no family, no kids, no real friends, and no love. If I were to disappear tomorrow - only the bill collectors would notice. I'm sure this message will get deleted. No one wants my kind around - or to speak up.

From what I read you seem like a good man to be with. I'm in central TX. I use to use okcupid a few years ago, there seems to be nothing but flakes and liars out there. You seem smart, talented, calm and sweet. Don't feel bad, okcupid is bullshit and most women don't know a good man when they see one. I have a few acres and pay my own way also... There are a lot of flaws with the site if you're using it for free. You can't filter people out by the criteria you select. This means you'll end up seeing overweight women when you stated you don't want to, women outside of the age range you chose, transgendered people when you just want actual women, and there are countless women who live in different countries (particularly the Philippines) but falsely change their city to yours. I also shouldn't be seeing profiles that are in another language. I'm sure other dating sites have this issue as well but a lot of the women seem to be on there purely for social media likes or validation.
