Here's my experience that I've made on Tinder (and on bumble because I thought Tinder was broken): - Average looking guy, if the guy in the video is a 6/10, im probably a 4 or 5/10. Average body, going to university, average height. - used tinder and bumble for around 3 months - swiped around 3-4 times a week 100 times a day - probably around 40% likes - no tinder gold or any boosts - total amount of matches I got: 0. - total amount of people who liked my profile: 0. - What was i even trying to do? ffs Yea, no matches and no likes. No one even liked me by accident and I guess there was no bot or trolls liking me too. I've had some people help me edit my profile (guys & girls), i think my profile was okay. Just stay off tinder if you want to keep your self-esteem. Everytime you swipe, you could have done 1 push-up instead

I'm Asian Australian from Melbourne. I had tinder for years and literally did not get a single date out of it, and maybe 20 matches. I didnt use it much, but enough to know it was pretty pointless. Then when I travelled to South America and tried it for fun I was getting quite a few matches (I'd say I'm average looking). So there's that too. I remember in the old days of okc I had a rough 'rule' that for every 100 likes I'd get 10 matches, and of those maybe 1 date. So 1 in 100. If this dude is getting 3 dates from 16k thats wild. If I was a woman he'd seem pretty attractive to me.

If he weren't 6'3" he would've gotten 250 less matches.

as a below average guy in looks, i just gave up in dating in general and just focus on myself and helping out my family to at least have a sense of purpose in life.

I did an experiment of my own, I'm an architect average looks, Firstly I made a profile like a normal person, with normal pictures. in 7 days no matches. Then I made another profile with the pictures of same day as before, same clothes same person but a nice BMW under the me. Got 8 matches in 3 hours . Guys don't go on these apps, it's just f*ing waste of time and value.

I honestly think a lot of women just use tinder for male validation and attention, to get an ego boost. Also, in the real world, I've become attracted to men just from knowing them and them being kind to me. This isn't something that can be really done online.

They made an experiment back then on RU-vid with a guy who had some Chad Pics on Tinder (wasnt his) and got a lot of swipes. During conversation he mentioned he was jailed for pedophilia in the past. The Answers he got were like: "Everyone made mistakes in the past, I think you should not be judged, followed by dating and even intercourse offers." Just a glimpse in the bizarre psychology and why there is barely any hope left for Men.

The one thing he left out is that the women you will match with will often be far below your rating. You will likely only see 3s,4s and 5s in your matches which further frustrates oneself

I remember I tried to match on POF with girls that had nothing. Average looks, multiple babies, no job, never graduated and drama AND I STILL NEVER HAD A RESPONSE. That was eye opening. I had everything, they had nothing and still they thought they were too good. Women on those apps feel like GODS.

The thing that kept me on Tinder for a long time is that between 2014 - 2017 I had a really significant experience on Tinder, not only with more matches but also significant chats and dates, and my profile photos looked worse than today, my bio was worse, I was a worse conversation starter than today, and still I got good results! From 2017 on the experience nosedived noticeably and I could say the pandemic was coffin nails. My theory is that Tinder worked great for first adopters because of lower competition, and as the amount of guys increased exponentially, even above average guys got obliterated.

The problem is even if you meet girls irl, most of them have dating apps so when they go back home they'll still have those thousands of matches. This has ruined everything and people cope by saying "tinder isn't real life". IT IS. I am 6'4", mid 30s, average looking, skinny athletic, good social skills and sense of humor, good paying job, healthy hobbies (sports, hiking, traveling) No debts, no major issues, no drug use. I have had next to zero success on dating apps and gotten rid of them. This excellent video only reconfirmed what I already knew. Guys, get off the grid and get into real life. As far as women are concerned, warm and cold approach is the ONLY way to go.

As a male, I've gotten 1 match and 1 like in the last 5 years. On every dating app you can name. 5 years. 1 match. The conversation was 1 sentence. I just said Good evening. And that was it.

For some reason it's still not known to the general public that if you're not deemed desirable by the app's algorithm, they give you a low ELO score which basically shadow bans your profile. You're not ugly, just literally nobody ever sees your profile. What this also means is that at that point buying boosts doesn’t help. It doesn’t show your profile to x amount of people, it shows your profile like 10x more than usual. 10x0 is still 0 tho.

Women will tell you that you need better photos, that you need to improve your bio etc. When I chadfished I had 3 bedroom selfies and a one liner bio. After a day I had hundreds of matches. Online dating is 100% about looks.

Well said about the opportunity cost: every activity is better than wasting your time on Tinder et such. Both statistically and in terms of self esteem/mental health, you get better rewards even playing video games or biking. I would not put "hope" in the pros. Disappointment is a huge setback and false hopes foster low self esteem. Those apps detroy your psyche to entertain a few women, you become their toy. No one should ever stoop to being a product for others to play with.

Ive once created a fake profile on Tinder, with pictures of a Romanian male model, a 9/10 at least. I was shocked at how bad my matching rates and conversations were even then. It should be just not worth your time.

The problem is: womens use of make up and other appearance augmenting measures leads to an inflated sense of attractiveness. This is why we hear even extremely average or below average women claiming they want "tall dark handsome" when in reality they should be going for 5/10 blokes.

I can say for sure that dating apps are a type of cancer to society. I got on there because I had “been too busy” to find someone in real life. Truth be told, I was just afraid of what might become of myself if I really just trusted the idea of eventually meeting a good woman in real life. I think a lot of guys struggle with believing in such a thing, so they (like myself) try out the apps in hopes of finding her. What I can say is that I’m currently seeing someone off of upward, but tbh it goes back to “would I have approached her in real life if her and I were at a gathering of some sort?” And that for me is a sobering question to ask because I’ve always counted myself out of pursuing in real life. Reality is, that pursuing and dating someone can be challenging and trying on a person’s psyche any way we put it. One day you feel good enough, other days you don’t. I think the self reflection and focus can really be a game changer. I’ve since then given myself a break from the apps and sincerely have little intention of going back to them. I think also talking in real life if you match with someone should be an emphasis because if it doesn’t materialize the girl will most likely back out. And if you meet her in real life, she can’t swipe left to a real life conversation. She’d have to at least afford you the time of day, and hopefully, allow you (the average guy) to grow on her a little bit at a time. We’re not all Chris Hemsworth, nor are we Michael B. For the most part, i've found dating apps to be a waste of time and money for men. I am somewhat luckier than a lot of people. I'm shy, autistic and awkward as hell. After months of swiping with zero results, i finally matched with a very forward/aggressive girl and went on a few dates. She ended up giving me my first kiss 5 weekends later, and took my V card the following week. This kind of story is VERY rare, and i feel like i may as well have won the lottery. I don't expect it to happen again.

The best conclusion of this video is that it’s better to spend $30/month on a gym rather than Tinder. I used to be a bit overweight and started hitting gym hard about 12 years ago. What I noticed as I was slowly progressing (don’t let the speed discourage you!!!!) is that the women that I was drooling over previously, were not as attractive to me anymore because my own self-image was improving. I started to get compliments from those girls which seemed unrealistic before. But at that point I could reach higher level girls. And I have. And it’s the best feeling when you know you’ve accomplished this by yourself. Nothing else but determination and discipline. Guys, the best thing you can do to attract women is to work on yourself. No games or tricks will do the job long-term. Make it your life mission to become the best version of yourself.
