first thing I noticed too was the low gears in high speed for cruising (I assume he rented the bike from the key's serial tag). unnecessary, but great opportunity to listen to the engine. CB400SF is a beautiful sound. thanks for the upload!
This bike has a red line that starts at 13k and they are driving it at 6-7k. Which is not that different from a 4 cylinder car that drives at 3-4k with a red line of 7k. The power for this bike does not start until 6k looking at dyno charts. You are probably either lugging your engine or use to low revving large displacement engines.
Damn, there are a lot of dick heads throwing shade in this comment section that have clearly never ridden a cb400. Nice video man, rev-matching and all. ✌🏽
What’s more fun in Japan in the mountains and highways you think? The 400 or a smaller 250? I love the in-line 4 but maybe it’s a bit heavy for Japanese roads? What do you think?
@@hex_surfer4588 чем выше обороты тем быстрее умрет мотор 😜, ты же не на зил 130 на подъёме! Для переключения не обязательно крутить до красной зоны-мощности и так дахрена, вес маленький!
Is it normal for a Honda gearbox to be this noisy when changing gears? I haven't noticed this much noise on other brands, except on Honda's models. Well, I'm not sure if that's normal. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4bWl2qGrpuM.html
I think this rider just purchased this bike, and is new to riding. You'll tire yourself out very quickly if you shift this often. An experienced rider will know the proper gear to be in, and not shift as much. Plus your fuel economy will be ruined running at such high rpms all the time. If your on the highway, put it in 5th or 6th gear but certainly not 2nd gear!!! Maybe this person is just enjoying listening to the engine? I don't know.

The rider, btw, rides it in its’ most glorious state - WOT! Honda at WOT and VTec is majestic. But yeah, I get excited by the 4-cyl Japanese (low cc) bikes. Fire-breathing racing pedigree at its’ finest! And containable levels of power.
Why would you put the cb650r engine in it? Why not buy a 650 if that’s what you want. Isn’t the CB650 a twin? That’s a world of difference, sir. Besides, the 650 will never sound like this bike.
It looked fine to me for the type of bike they where driving. It looks like they are having fun. You need to keep your revs up as the bike makes little power in lower rpms. Also clutch ware happens mostly when there is a large difference in speed, but his downshits are not that far and they are bliping the throttle for a rev match.
This bike has a red line that starts at 13k and they are driving it at 6-7k. Which is not that different from a 4 cylinder car that drives at 3-4k with a red line of 7k. You make it sound like they are running non stop at 13k in every gear when they are using at most half of the engine.
Hey, let me justify that. It a four cylinders 400cc bike, the rev can go up to over 12,000rpm, and with VTEC technology, he had to keep the rpm above 6,500 for faster takeover.
Watch the rev gauge (the dial on the right) he didn't go into the red, he kept it in the vtec power band. If you don't know how to ride a motorcycle you really shouldn't comment rude things
