U.S. Rep. Markwayne Mullin sparked the ire of many of his fellow committee members while discussing his desire to "fix" the Affordable Care Act in a congressional meeting Wednesday.
It doesn't really offend her. She's "offended" because she can use her faux outrage to shoot him down and damage his momentum. 99.9% of their "outrage" is simply a strategic dialogue-manipulator to force their wrong positions to be "right" by default.
To say something sucks is to say that it is no good or that you don’t like it. She was offended because the first thought that she had was probably a dirty thought.
I could care less about him saying the word suck.. I was pissed for his contempt, rude behavior and telling ppl to shut up . He was only interrupted after he became belligerent . While he might be 100% right, the representatives on this committee are bound by rules of decorum in parliamentary procedure. This isn’t the same as a normal conversation or presentation. Much like in a court of law, the participants are held to a different standard in how they speak and behave. I admire his gumption, but he actually creates a distraction from his point rather than for it.
What Mr. Mullin doesn't understand is any Bill the House passes will get to be voted on in the Senate because McConnell will not bring it up for a vote.

The ACA sucks.......I lost my insurance , had insurance forced on me, at almost 3 times the cost, and at less then half the coverage. As a VA entitled veteran, it was not health care I was forced to pay for, it was a government mandated rip off.

If this committee is so thin-skinned that they get "offended" over the word "sucks" then they don't need to be in public office. While I think Mr. Mullin needs to use more mature language (vs using the language of a child) I do think his point was clear. The so-called "Affordable" Care Act is anything but affordable. Yes, his employees were right to complain about it and say "it sucks."

Yeah Mullin is an ineffective leader. That said, I agree that the person trying to talk over him should be censured. The row over the word sucks was totally BS, they ignored it when it happened, they only made an issue after he told the idiot to shut up.
