This is an Oklahoma Sooners highlight video of them playing the Texas Longhorns on October 13th, 2012. This game was played in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas. Thank you for watching!
I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you very much for making all of Oklahoma Sooners highlights for us busy dads that barely have the time to watch a game. Thank you Holakyle.
Jason White never entered the pros because of injuries and Billy Sims was having an outstanding NFL career before he got hurt. And Billy Vessells, another Heisman Winner went to fight for our country in war.... And Sam Bradford is doing pretty well. Not to mention Adiran Peterson is the best running back in the NFL... And who did he play for?? Oh yeah, The Oklahoma Sooners.,
For anyone who missed it, there's also a video of the post-game celebration - pretty cool. Search "Oklahoma Sooners: Postgame Celebration vs. Texas" - can't post the link I guess.
Look, even though the team and school I love got beat....bad, I love this rivalry, I love the crowd, the stadium, and the game itself. See you next year.
Just for info when people look at this vid. In this game, OU's strength coach is Jerry Schmidt, recently hired by OU. The UT strength coach is Bennie Willy, who is now at USoftC. Note how physically dominate OU is in this game, they don't just beat UT, they beat them up.
I remember watching this game at Fort Sam Houston with a UT friends of mine. I'm a Sooner grad and huge fan. The two of us had just gotten back from Afghanistan and we decided to watch this game together. Let's just say we watched together until halftime, then I watched alone.
Long-time Texas fan here. Love to hate OU. OU Loves to hate Texas... That's what's great about college football. My experience is that the majority of UT fans with any sense, have great respect for the OU program. But ya just don't say it! lol. I know I respect it. Still, when the time comes we go to hatin'... it's all good. Glad we have the greatest rivalry in the country still going strong!!
This game so kicked ass in person. The joy of watching No.33 Miller in the 2nd qtr, 1st & 10..pushing the pukes down. We were in the southeast section(?) so we watched him running towards the red zone. It was amazing from every view!! Player of the Game is our opinion! Sec 31, Rw 24. watching the orange fade across the field as the beating continued!!
OU's team is pretty young also. It's a good thing Stoops pulled most of the D starters and some of the O linemen and some of the backs got to rest the second half or it would have been worse and that's not sportsmanship
you are seeing a clinic on conditioning coaches Bennie Wyllie for Texas and jerry Schmidt for ou! i am so glad Schmidt is back at ou!!!! Bennie can take his CrossFit stuff and go!
As a Diehard Texas fan as much as it pains me to say it.OU kicked our fucking ass..No excuses here..Mack Brown is well loved and respected by many.Including myself..He has got to go..That was a total embarrassment and it all falls back on the head coach. We should've hired muschamp when we had the chance. And as much as I hate OU I have to give credit where it's due.Congrats on kicking our ass..Maybe that loss will help our gain..Mack has got to go..Deloss has got to go.Self entitlement got to go
Probably at least 2-3 of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Baylor. A&M had absolutely no depth on defense and minimal injuries. INCREDIBLE job by Larry Jackson in terms of strength and conditioning. If you watched the Louisiana Tech game, you'd know that the secondary was A&M's weakest link last season.
kore5747, might want to check your stats man, three other OU qb's have beaten Texas three years in a row, and one of them held the record for most wins that Jones beat that game. I forgot their names, but they were talking about it during the game. And yes, I am an OU fan, but I hate it when people spout off stuff like they know what they are talking about.
congrats Steelers, you got a solid QB in Jones regardless of the pundits. They said he was a first rounder last year and all he did was have a better season this year and suddenly he sucks. Look at the other Qbs he has faced and beat, Andrew Luck, RG3, EJ Manual, Ryan Tannehill, Blain Gabbert and more, most will or do start on NFL teams and some are stars already.
LOL..ok Zack. You are on. If the Sooners do beat our Horns ( and admittedly...that's not beyond possibility), you'll do us a favor otherwise. That will be Mack Brown's last HOORAH. We Texas fans and alumni will not stomach another ass beating.
And to think - some people have the Horns favored to win the Big 12 this year. I'm a Texas fan and I laugh at the shit when it's said. Can't remember who said it, but it's so true. "Mack Brown tries to weather the storm; Bob Stoops tries to BE the storm." Longhorns ain't doing shit until Clappy is gone.
Probably pretty badly. But to be fair, no one was able to stop Manzel, not even the mighty Bama. Now here's another question, if Texas A&M had been in the big12 still , who would have really stopped them from winning a national title?
because he played for 4 years he is the winning-est... and played against Texas at their lowest point in a number of years, you have to look more into evidence. When is the last time Landry Jones won a BIG game?
You know Bryce; OU and TX are both good teams; I root for TX when they play other teams and I hope you enjoy OU football when we aren't playing you! I want the Big 12 to beat everyone!
This begs the question: If Oklahoma was 48 points better than Texas (don't be fooled by the final score. Brown called a timeout late to score a garbage TD) and A&M was 28 points better than Oklahoma...I know the transitive property doesn't work in football...but how badly would A&M have beaten Texas last year?
Some Big 12 treams do play defense. OU and Kansas State play great defense. It's just that agianst Notre Dame, OU failed to move the ball and make stops when they needed them. Remember that OU's defense, statisticly, is far better than it was last year.
All you Boomer Crooners enjoy this while you can. The 'Horns have long memories...and truly, OU will find a way to choke in 2013. I think this year will begin a whole new series of OU losses to Texas. The University of Texas at Norman's days are numbered. Hook Em Horns....!
Holakyle does a great job with Oklahoma Highlights. Let me help him with the idiots out there. OKLAHOMA HIGHLIGHTS are going to be OKLAHOMA HIGHLIGHTS. The "vs" afterwards means that is who they are playing, short for "versus". If you like texas, then you should put the word "texas" in front of the word "highlights" and you will find "texas highlghts". But will not find any for this game, texas didn't have any. If you like another team, just put that word in front of "highlights". BOOMER SOONER
