I have never made okra this way because I was skeered of the slime. Not anymore, thanks to your cooking tip. Hubby planted some tomatoes and potatoes, and now I'm gonna have him plant some okra if it's not too late. I will definitely make this. My middle eastern daughter in law brings back to us from Jordan okra is maybe 1 in long whole pretty well dried.For her okra and tomatoes it is awesome of course no bacon .
Ok. Our garden is not this far along. But I have some black eyed peas to cook. And some frozen whole okra. Not as good as fresh. But still yummy. Add some cornbread. And it’s a meal fit for royalty. Will do this tomorrow.
Another veggie favorite! I would put in bacon and smoke sausage in this along with bell peppers and a bit of cabbage along with the tomatoes and okra! Great over cooked rice for delicious meal 🤤🤤🤤! Great video, sweetie 🥰🥰🥰
I love my bacon grease. I have a good friend who saves bacon grease for me, she eats a lot of bacon. After about a couple quarts of her saved bacon grease I get it and put it all in a pan and heat it all back up then I take a strainer and put a good paper towel in the strainer like Viva paper towel then I pour the hot grease in the strainer with the towel and slowly strain it. You would be amazed how clean it is. Then if I have a lot I put it in a pint canning jar and put it in the freezer till I need some and when I do I just take it out and put it on the counter till it is gone.
