I guess your Linksys router is no longer cutting-edge technology. Thanks for going into detail on that non-linear cam-over actuation. A lot of keyboard warriors have said it looks too digital, with no real mechanical feel. Obviously they've not yet felt the shift... Also wanted to clarify that the centermost portion of the lever tip is made from Delrin (acetal resin) which is very strong and used for all sorts of mechanical parts including gears.
Lol. I'm using fiber ptic internet now and it's much better! Yes, it does feel non-linear, even the "reset" feels like a more mechanical feel than what I was expecting. And yes, delrin is amazing stuff and a great choice for s lightweight yet super strong material. I think it also has some self lubricating properties as well if I am remembering correctly.
@DouglasThompson well technically we are the same age but I'll let that one slide. I actually beat you on one of my recent videos! Who knows maybe sooner than later! ;)
Awesome review as always, interesting question. I got aiologs shifter and had it for few years and looking to buy a different shifter, worth buying oktane from aiolog?
Oh definitely!!! The aiologs is a nice shifter, but the oktane is a whole different league! Throw my name somewhere on the order if you go through with it to let him know what's up! Lol ;)
@@DouglasThompson Cool trying to see if if the shift would have the Partner Approval Factor. I hear the lowest tension setting is the most quiet, would that be closer to the Aiologs?
@@aznpballa Even on the lowest tension setting with the shortest mechanism throw, it still makes a decent amount of noise. Tension-wise, I believe the Aiologs and the V2 are roughly the same (with the V2 on the lowest tension). If you need quiet, I have another shifter in the works. More info coming soon.
@@DouglasThompson allora mi sa che prendo questo, ero convinto di prendere il simagic ma dopo questo video sto riflettendo ed il tuo consiglio è stato utile. Questo costa anche meno...
@@DouglasThompson saw in your other video that you have this shifter went to order it and sold out … emailed the guy and he got back to me in like 10 min and said he will re open orders early dec. I plan on using this next to my H pattern fanatec because as you know the seq on that shifter is shit but the H pattern is nice. Edit: also got the DD+ and podium rally wheel coming.
@@intelligence6900 I'll have some dropping on the website next week hopefully (If I can get them assembled over the weekend as planned). Not expecting them to last long though. I will probably open up for pre-orders again in the near future.
@@intelligence6900 More inbound after that. I don't want to lose prospective customers because of "vaporware", so pre-orders will be opening again soon.
