For the first time ever, I visited the Oktoberfest in Munich, millions of people are visiting every year. It was absolutely incredible. We tried a few rides and spend some time in different tens Hofbrauhaus. ,Käfer, and many more Oktoberfest is a must to see at least once in your lifetime I also climbed up lady Bavaria up to her head

Terrific video. It looks like a lot of fun, but I didn't realize that it had such an amusement park/carnival feel (with the rides, games, et c). My mental image of Oktoberfest is just a bunch of mega-tents filled with giant beers, lederhosen, and bratwurst with song and dance.

Guten Tag Guten Tag, Mike this is the best one yet!!!!!!! You really DID IT!!!!! WHAT FUN! That was cool when you got the Japanese kids to wave. I went there in Munich in 1990 just before deploying to what was Operation Desert Shield that December and then Desert Storm in January. My platoon sergeant got us an Army bus and took the whole platoon there, because he knew we were about to get into a battle. I remember waking up on the bus back to Furth after passing out. Good times! I bought a pretzel as big as my head.

While I was living in Slovenia, I was very lucky to have patients who lent my wife and me their apartment flat in Munich. But we were not there for the Octoberfest, which I really regret. It looks wonderful. Love from USA.

I was there at the end of August when they were building it. I could not believe how substantial those structures are. The guy at the Theresa statue told me that they start building it from June (!). and then it takes them until Christmas to take it down again. I had no idea it was free to get in, and free into the tents ! I always thought you had to pay. Though when I looked at hotels in Munich during Oktoberfest, they are 4x the normal price. So you do have to pay in one sense if you are visiting
