Oil is for bearings and grease is for axle and cogwheels inside the reel

Hi There- I am not sure what the LS as it isn't something we offer here in the states, but as far as the other two, the S always stands for High Speed. The standard EPXT-40 has a 5.0:1 gear ratio, while the EPXT-40S has a 6.0:1 gear ratio. Hope that helps.

i wouldn't personally if you have some graphite grease or starret oil those would work good
