How can I use a OLAP system to respond business questions in real time? Is this possible? I have to have access to updated transactions in the databse.

Let's see, As an Analyst: - I want to provide real-time visibility of the product quantities in our shops, in transport, and those still under manufacture, I would use OLTP for this - To extract insights and patterns in our operations, I would use OLAP Am I right?? Or I can use them interchangeably, doesn't matter??
