They are wearing traditional dress which is great and they value their culture. Nowadays dress code of many countries are influenced by Western cultures. I am in India and I don't see many Indians wearing their traditional dress. Instead majority wear Western dress which is sad.
@@zdinbalti India has done a lot to preserve the various Greater Tibetan identities across the Subcontinent. Ladakh, Sikkim, Meiteis, Mizos and so on. And also giving refuge to Dalai Lama of Tibet. Besides, the Tibetan and Ladakhi Vajrayana Buddhist culture comes from Northern India. The Tibetan writing script comes from the Northern Brahmi writing script. Actually Ladakhis are very happy with India for giving them their own identity, promoting Ladakhi language and culture within Ladakh and separating from Kashmir. Also the original writing script is used. Pakistan is not doing anything to promote the original writing script of Baltistan which is dying and discouraging cultural things which it sees as "Unislamic".

@@zdinbalti Who knows, Dalai Lama even hinted that the next successor could be somewhere amongst the Pan Tibetan cultures in India, due to the brutal Chinese occupation of Tibet. This could even be Ladakh and Baltistan. I wish one day Modi and BJP would be brave enough to claim Tibet, with the blessings of the Dalai Lama. If Ladakh or Baltistan was independent, 100% they would immediately be attacked by China. Look at Nepal and Bhutan, the only reason they still exist is because if China invades then India would not react nicely. One must think how small countries like Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka are not part of India. USSR leader Stalin once met Nehru after Indian independence, and asked what is the name of this Indian Island when he looked at the map of India. Nehru quietly said its an independent country called Sri Lanka. Stalin was so shocked why its independent lol. He ended up calling Nehru a puppet of the British. India has a lot of problems, but at least there is a freedom for every person to practice their culture. There is no national language, and every state has its official language(s). Its very sad to see that a few Baltis have been poisoned by the Pakistani state to see India, Buddhists, Hindus and so on as Kaffirs and evil. Hope one day Skardu once again connects to Kargil, Kargil to Leh and Leh to Manali, Kashmir and eventually India.

This song is mostly sung in kargil ladakh especially on all India radio kargil. I still remember those years of 25 years back were really lovely era. No tension, no distances And for our information, it was sung first time on radio kargil by a bhodist guy.....
