I have to say that the results don't look bad but I have never seen a bricklayer spreading mortar beds like that ever and filling in cross joints after the brick had been laid. But I am not a lover of marshalltown jointers but, it was nice to see you putting a bit of polishing into the jointing by going over it again.
Are these older imperial bricks budd? They seem larger than the morern metric sizings. Also, although i agree they seem harder to lay, gauge, facing profile etc, they do have aesthetic charm. Adding, your clear and calm technique is a pleasure to watch from an amateur diy brickie like me. 😊😊
if it looks right boi it is right ,them sort of bricks are always a challenge ,i like to point them up with a bit of compressor hose hides a lot of imperfections
I’ve seen someone point them up with an old fan belt and to be fare it looked well,👍raisin up with these is bit of a challenge. But like you say boi if it looks right it is right, keep troshen boi 👍
Painful to watch. Always so slow, ridiculous amount of time laying a bed. Pointing over work that he has pointed 2 or 3 times already....no idea how he makes money.
