+Lowgaen Schmidt That's what I remember being like when I saw the Simpsons episode "Lady Bouvier's Lover," and they played that tune when Mr. Burns and Mrs. Bouvier were dancing.
I remember this commercial, big time! They ran it for years! I still remember the "a thousand chips, delicious! Naaabiiisco! (ding!)". I don't recall this commercial airing before 1995. I had no idea that it was from '93.
8 years after you comment here i am explaining how i used to sing Nabisco DING in the middle of English class when it got to quiet to my 15 yr old who had my teacher this past school year. The fact you added the ding just made me feel a little more sane. 🤣🤘💞
90's commercials were the best. Made you feel the excitement for the product. Now commercials are all for legal help and the only song is the phone number. Or a medication that has a list of side effects that make you decide you don't want to talk to your dr about X medication 🤣
Believe it or not..there are still a FEW good commercials LOL I like the Progresso Soup ...the one where the wife calls the company to complain about her husband...funny...it's on TV now
been looking for this commercial for YEARS on YT.. as memory serves, there was a another version of this ad featuring the same song. However it was done in a "nightclub" setting.
I barely remember this commercial, and when it came out, but the song always stuck with me especially when i got into high school band. That's when I got obsessed with it.
Wow I can't believe I actually found this, seeing this commercial over 10 years ago inspired me to learn the trumpet long before I knew Benny Goodman or sing sing sing
I AM SO HAPPY! I have been looking for this commercial/ song for practically my whole life and never found it. Then I was watching a Woody Allen movie last night and heard it! I quickly shazamed it and found the name of this song. No wonder I love jazz now, I feel like this commercial was a huge part of my childhood!
I always remember the Chips Ahoy commercials when they did this. When I heard the song on the radio one day. I was thinking of this commercial so much. Chips AHoy Commercials are always great.
This commercial was the first time I can recall hearing "Sing Sing Sing" anywhere. It must have been on TV on and off for several years, because I was born in 1993 (the year it debuted according to the description), yet remember it distinctly, which I wouldn't if it was only on TV when I was a baby.
I remember seeing this and running for my grandfather. "Grandfather! Grandfather! They put Benny Goodman in a cookie commercial!" Of course, this was in 95, the last year this one played, but even then, I was listening to the music my grandfather loved. BTW, this song was composed by Louis Prima. Everyone here might know him as "King Louie" from Disney's version of The Jungle Book. Benny Goodman might have made it famous, but Prima is still genius.
