It is 01/27/2020, I have been trying to make this dish for over 20 years! My in-laws are Navajo and Sioux and it is made all the time on the reservations. No matter what I did, it never came out right. Momma Joyce, THANK YOU! I have followed you for a few months now. Your fried chicken was the first recipe I tried. My grandson is a huge fried chicken fan and was in heaven when he saw the cooked pieces of chicken! We have a family member visiting us and my husband suggested I makegl goulosh. I looked and smile at him, telling him I have a recipe for it. I made 6 quarts of it and there is one serving left! Everyone loved it!! My husband said it was delicious, I told him "momma Joyce sure can cook!" and he agreed 😉👍❤. I haven't cooked every day in about 28 years. We now live out in the middle of the desert in Arizona, we don't even have a store in our little town! I am learning how to cook again and love watching you and learning from you. By the way, I love your smile and little giggle. You are a wonderful woman. Keep on cooking, I so enjoy watching you, and now, so does my husband!!
There is a difference between Hungarian goulash and this American goulash. Different ingredients. I have seen American goulash on YT, but no recipes for Hungarian goulash.

Just watched this again 5/19/21 and you are in Heaven sweet Lady ❤ My dear Mom is there too, maybe you have met her, her name is Mary Ruth. She made this dish as I was growing up and I've never made it. I don't know why because I loved it. She may have added some tomato paste to hers because I do remember it being in the sweet side unless she added a little sugar to it. I remember it almost tasting like a sloppy joe sauce. All I know is ,it was delicious. You sure are missed sweet Lady. See you on the other side🥰

I love watching these videos. My mother would have said the same thing. She would say whoever fixed this must have been a great cook... Haha knowing she made it. Born and raised in west Virginia she made due with what she had. When you thought there was nothing to eat, she would make a glorious meal. And some of the best cooking you ever saw... so kudos to you for making these keepsakes for decades to come, for generations to come. Keep making videos.
I'm late to the game on mommas recipes but I am so glad I found her! This is the first recipe I made of hers....we will be keeping it. My husband scraped his bowl clean and will be taking left overs for lunch tomorrow....and probably the next day lol
