This was way before my time ( born in 94 ) but there's something so magical about these commercials, that the newer ones seem to lack. That main component being soul.
These commercials look back at a less complicated time. I can remember where I was for all of these snapshots of Americana. Thanks for putting a smile on my face!
How awesome! I was born in 1981 and the commercials in the 70's are amazing! I grew up watching the 80's great commercials after taking a break from TV shows, cartoons, movies.
I wasn’t born until ‘88 but some of these ‘80’s commercials still came on when I was a young kid. Felt a strong ‘80’s vibes when I watched them. Best commercials :)
Commercials had a way of making you remember the commercial jingle which also made you want to go get whatever it was being advertised. Loved the 70's and 80's commercials.
Working at Burger King, i usually worked 1st shift. In this day, so many employees called off on 2nd shift that i volunteered to work an extra shift. At about 7:00p.m two 12 year old girls walked in looking very scared! It seemed that they had just gotten out of our local movie theater, when this man started following them! We hustled them into the back office and we called the cops! They showed up and held this guy. Doing a background check, they find out that he was a convicted registered sex offender! They hauled him away.
We were so much happier back then. Compare the commercials of the 70s and the 80s to now. Goes to show the sociological and culture shifts in America. Wow how far we have fallen!
What is the corportate greed part? The funny thing is that you vote democrat and your president made a 3 dollar hamburger 6 dollars overnight magically. The terrible part is that you won't learn from it and it repeats.
I love these even tho I didn’t grow up in those times I wish I lived back then thank u for sharing my grandma told me about the older tv shows and commercials years ago I really miss her the wendys commercial made me laugh where the grandma walked up and he waved lol
I'm in Miami and let me tell you that Downtown is not a glimpse of what it once were, I worked in many stores all around and years later i passed by and they're all gone, well i'll never go to Downtown Miami again.
In the mid 80's, in the mid west, there was some nut going around leaving pipe bombs everywhere. Working at Burger King, on a slow day, my manager sent me to clean the mens room. Walking into the toilet stall, find a plain brown paper bag, with something inside! Telling my manager, he goes in to look whats in the bag. I stop him and tell him to call the Police! They came and evacuated the restaurant and the whole block! What was in the bag? It was empty.
He got caught in my hometown (Mason City, IA) He was in the parking lot of the local Country Kitchen and accidentally blew his car up. A friend of mines Dad worked at a photo camera store across the lot and recorded the aftermath with some new in the store, a "camcorder"
Wrong mostly are from the 80s that carried over into the 90s mostly early 90s after 92 or 93 than the ads were 90s which went into the early 2000s... that's the way it goes my friend.
Super mega sized drinks. Larger than any size they'd had before. It was 32 oz. That's now called a medium. Very soon they'll have that listed as the small.
Fast food back then was more like home-cooked food. Portions were also much bigger, compared to today. A large Pizza Hut pizza was the size of a extra large New York style pizza in the 80s.
''Parts is Parts'' what kind of parts different parts Parts is Parts when YOU finally give up Fast Food you'll find out how much better you feel and how much more money you have in your pocket. Fast Food is food like American Processed Cheese Food is food. You can eat it, but you have better options.
Something just bugs me about the "Hot and Juicy" ad. The faces he's making kinda creep me out. On the last one, I'm like "What expression is he going for?!".
8:30 Karen from Will and Grace. McDonald's breakfast ad. Cool. Marketing strategy: Everybody is using 2hands to eat. That's to make the item seem larger in size. Burger King's motto: You need 2 hands to handle a whopper. 👍
It's cool what a big name actor she is now, started off doing short commercials. Take the work you can get until you make it. And yeah McDonalds really does cost that much now. I remember working at Mcdonalds and the meals were around $5. Then even some time back it cost that much just for the sandwich. Now already I think a big mac by itself is like $7. And they don't taste as good either. I see people complain about the price of 5 guys, but it's not that much more for more food, made fresh.
People people people... Fast Food was NEVER really that good. Why do I feel like if youtube existed in the 1970s and people watched a video about 1930s fast food, they say the same damn thing
