Nearly 2 Years after hosting this Video, I had seen it today at the first time, fell deeply in Love with fafnir and wish, it was mine. :-) What a wonderfull Glider, what a gentle way to present him to us and what a majestic way to fly. You are so very lucky to have such a wonderful place to fly. i have to agree that Fafnir is a beautiful plane. they are great planes. I found a set of plans i bought many years ago. It is a Schweyer Rhonsperber. i think i will build it just to have it. So one day when i have a place to fly it i can enjoy its beauty. Cheers
I kind of had my heart set on a nice big scale ASW 27 as next project, but seeing this video has given me a totally new appreciation of these wonderful more classic designs.

I'm no expert here. But that is just truly inspired flying!!! Love the old school models. One of my favorite gliders to fly is my 1965 Jasco Scout on 2 channels.

Is the Fafnir built based on Vince Cockett's plans and the Short Kit from LCS (lasercutsailplanes.co.uk/product/rrg-fafnir-short-kit-plan/), or can you post more information about the plans and the source for getting the plans?

Gezzz these are wonderful gliders. With a location like this, what about manned gliders or hang gliding? These gliders are so beautiful I want to run off the cliff and fly with them.
