Probably not. 1) There is a short clip of "Flowers in the Attic" available that is actually voiced by Kemper and there he sounds very different and the audio quality is much worse. 2) All of the full versions are likely not publicly available. 3) The voice here does have an uncanny resemblance to actor Cameron Britton who played Kemper on the tv series Mindhunter. If it is him, then it would be an amusing coincidence because this was produced before the tv series.
This guy's voice has the anesthetic potency of Isoflurane. I set it to 1.25x to make it tolerable. Tried to listen to this book 5 different times. I have adhd, and it really helps to listen to books while I do something with my hands so I don't fall asleep. Desperately need this book for university. Holy shit this reader is boring. Listening to this book has been flat out excruciating. .............I hope it's the only book he ever recorded O.O
This is the problem with Librivox audio books. I mean no one on earth could listen to this man. I realise all the readers are volunteering to read, and they are not professionals, but come on! This man must be able to hear himself. Sadly much absolutely brilliant work is ignored because of this sort of reading. There must be a baseline, a level past which you will not go. I apologise to this reader, I know I am being rude, but I can't help it your reading is horrible. You have very good enunciation, but it is way too slow and flat. If you are going to do this do it properly.
What's with all the personal attacks? All she did was give her opinion. Please find a healthier outlet for your anger. Bless your heart. For the record, I have read the book and have to agree, this reading sucks the life out of it. It's like the difference between Mary Poppins for a babysitter and a 10th grade history class taught by HAL.
Well I am listening to this to go to sleep without anxiety and it's perfect for that! Very calming but I see your point if you want to stay alert! Goodnight!
There are two things all of you people of society or forgetting 1 it is good these stories from the culture have been recorded 2 yes the narrator didn't do a very good job in the native culture there was no written language and they had designated storytellers to pass on their cultural morals and yes you storytellers put a little bit more color into their voice for the story 3 weather is it dry voice of the desert where the loud thunderous voice of the sky it is still good to find pieces of a lost culture in other words it's kind of like pizza when it's good it's good when it's bad it's still good
Everyone says this reading could be better and that it was terrible. What defines better? What would be the base standard to be considered "good" or "properly"?
