To all property owners, that have property by water,you need to provide a way to the water if not just ask the owners of the big hotels by the beach, they can't block the way to the water. FL.LAW. all property's must have an easement, and the property owner must maintain it, just like your sidewalk, and the easement on your property for utilities or the piece of property between your sidewalk and the street/rd. You don't own the property between sidewalk and street. So all property owners that think they are owner of the property all the way to the water or 1/2 way into a lake can go and kick rocks.

If I'm not mistaken, if you don't own the property and you are on it for any reason you are trespassing. There are two types of trespassing laws one is armed which carries a felony punishment and an unarmed which is a misdemeanor but either way if you don't own it you are trespassing. No signs are needed.

You’d love way up north here in Sudbury Ontario Canada .we have well over 300 lakes within a 1hour drive of the middle of the city. Most lake have free access. Drive any direction and you find lakes.. many you won’t see anyone on. Camp right at the lake...
This doesn’t happen in Australia, our elderly like to see people enjoying the outdoors! And if we come across any who don’t we feed them to the kangaroos!
I live on part of the Gold Coast/ Surfers are on a large wide section of the canal system, it's chock full of Bull sharks and there's bugger all of any other fish here now, also no more ducks. The sharks are pretty much stuck in here once they get in and now they must be starving. They did eat one of my neighbours some years back, then a few months later an old bloke around from here a bit, that;s when our ever so honest and greedy for the tourist dollar council finally admitted it was chock full of them. I'm getting set up heavy duty wise to catch a few. That old prick would have been going for a swim if he'd bothered me like that, I wouldn't like his chances of getting back out of that water though. We own down to within about 3 feet of the waterline, NOBODY around here gives a shit if someone wanders past, or even stops and fishes from that narrow strip. You seem to have a hell of a lot of very entitled arseholes over there that need teaching a few lessons.
Here's an idea. Bring an extra rod and beer with you. Go over and introduce yourself, offer him a beer and invite him to join you. He's probably just lonely and wants something to do. You might make a friend and learn something. Old people have a lot to offer if you take an interest in them.

This is EXACTLY what's happened to my home State of Montana. Thousands of assholes like this, moving in, buying up every inch of ground, fencing and posting it. Problem with that, they fence off public access trails, roads and gates, 'cause they want it all, they don't want others to have legal access to public lands. The fish and game is so gutless, they do nothing, so sportsmen loose access to it all. PLEASE stay where you are, don't come here and bring your rap with you.

Yeah that’s touching on trespassing. You should always have written permission. Picking an argument in a navigable water way while on a boat is one thing. But that’s h o a property. Every homeowner around has chipped in to mow the grass around that pond. So you will need the presidents written permission. Dang sry to be the party pooper. Don’t need a sign to not steal a car. If it ain’t yours don’t touch it. No sign needed. Dang brother. Just wait till you own a pond or live in a neighborhood with hoa ponds. Then strangers show up to fish your pond. Then those strangers tell others. A single family comes by and leaves trash every weekend for you to clean up. But that first stranger is the perfect guest. While you pay thousands a month for hoa to keep up the common areas ( not “public area” ) So it’s tricky. Just be careful. In Tn. Trespassing is justified shooting. Another way you can fish that pond. Is if you can show that the pond was there before the neighborhood. But then you still have to step off pavement ( public right or way) cross over sidewalk (hoa installed) walk acros 30 yards of grass then a strip of seed straw that somebody clearly bought and laid on their land. Just be careful in neighborhoods. It’s silly to get shot fishing. But it’s also just as silly to trespass for a mud hole. Tiny pond. That pond can’t house big fish. Just a lot of pan fry. Show this to your closest elder relative. Maybe they can explain it better since they know you. Or ping the site and find your local wildlife official. They be more than happy to help.

If this is a subdivision of an association and they are common grounds such as a pond, park, boat landing, and the gentlemen is paying an association fee, he does in fact own a piece of that ground that's why they call it an association and if there are no trespassing signs at the ENTRANCE of the community subdivision then you would be liable for trespass. If not then fish away, all you want. I have no idea, All I know from your video is that he said it was a 55 and over subdivision so that pretty much said it all.

One of the issues with many fishing videos. They have no respect for private property. They feel entitled to fish it because fishing is fun. I fish a lot of private property. I get permission before I do so. Why many of these people get set off is because of others trespassing and leaving trash behind. Not these guys in the video. But others that give all fisherman a bad name. Had one spot that I fished a lot and would always pick up trash. They finally shut it down to everyone except for family. Why? Because they were tired of picking up trash. Canoe left out in the water and ended up in the middle of the lake more than once. Get permission or stay the hell out of private property!!!

fishing is a good character builder it is harmless good fun and it teaches kids the lesson of good management and awareness of keeping a good and clean environment for the vast majority of the time these kids are good kids and respectful but there is nothing like a miserable leftists to try and stop the fun
