I live in China and i can directly relate to this situation. In my former rented apartment, a very old Chinese lady often came and knocked on the door. She was always so sure that it was her house. Then she notices that we are Africans and it can't possibly be her house. The first time she said she lived in the next building so i walked with her there but soon realized she actually didn't know where her house was. She also had no tag or identification on her person. Thus, I called the compound security to resolve it as she also speaks Chinese in dialect. After that, she came around some other times. We got used to her so when she knocks, we just welcome her, give her a chair, some water or fruits, and chat until the security man comes and takes her. Before we left that apartment, we realized she lived on the third floor and we lived on the second in the same wing and building. She wasn't totally off after all. Fun memory. I hope she lives long, happy, and healthy.
The one who just pretended to be his granddaughter was just gold 🤣🤣 "Yes grandpa, let's go see my older brother" and she played her part until the end, she greeted him "bye grandpa"... so sweet!
I found this channel by accident, and lemme just say it was one of the best accidents I've ever had; love the content, love the wholesomeness, and love the insight into Chinese culture! It's very important to act when you see these things people. A few years ago, my late neighbor who had Alzheimer, got out of his house and walked around for a bit. He wasn't supposed to be out alone but he kinda snuck out I guess. A lady saw him looking confused and went to talk to him. When she realized he had Alzheimer's, she called the police and stayed with him until they got there. The police lifted him back home. He was a good 25-30 minutes of walking away from his house when he was found. He would NEVER have found his way back home. I don't know how it would have ended, but it could have been very bad. I'm positive this lady saved him from a looooot of trouble, possibly even death.
I melt when I see how loving the people are in Asia. A place where morality and honor is seen and shared with almost every person there. They cherish their Elderly which is something so lacking in the USA where I live. I never knew I could feel homesick for a place I have never been to but I do.
I always love how people help here and they give a little bit more than what has been asked. At the very least, even if you only help by calling and waiting for his grandson to come, that's already helpful. But they also help keeping him warm and acting like his granddaughter. This is just one example. There are many social experiment here like this, giving more than what has been asked.
Its scary how people who have this condition can get lost so easily. I remember there being a few cases of mostly elderlies who have alzheimers wondering out of their house unknowingly and end up going missing to this day.

Please, respect, help and be kind to the elderly. My grandma has really advanced dementia, and whenever we're outside I just hold on to her because of how scared I am that she'll slip away while I'm not looking.
Alzheimer’s is such a sad disease. I’m glad these people stopped to help. My grandmother had it and I would’ve hoped she would’ve gotten help like this if she ever needed it. Hope if I have it someday I do too. Awesome people.
The elderly gentleman acting as the grandfather should win best acting award at Golden rooster awards. He always makes me cry as his acting is so real 😭. I wish you would do an interview with him so we can learn more about him and where he studied acting.

this is good i think its society that makes people think the old are not capable. example you watch a film or tv show and guess what thats right. they get actors or actreesses to play heart attack or bad back and stuff even though its acting for the tv or film. so people get it in their heads oh this person is weak and not capable that is not the case at all. as people said its how you look after yourself. how many times have i read about jackie chan oh wow he can still do these kicks and punches big deal its nothing to him but society as said when reach a certain number your not capable of doing stuff. Stallone alot older than jackie and he still doing stuff you would never see stallone playing someone with bad back or heartattack person because it would not be good viewing. i think the word old is a insult in itself really and i think people should be called man or woman or boy or girl without having to say oh young man or old man just a man with 2 legs lol. infact it was the walk the actor did that gave the impression that he was elderly and confused, if he was walking normal and upright nothing said. i kind of think when koreans say uncle its a insult in itself maybe same as in the usa films when the gang of street thugs say oi grandad hand over the money.
Man this grandpa already have some of the best actings playing characters in his own form. Definitely better than so many actors nowadays , he could easily make it to any dramas !
Don't like call him grand father just because he looks a certain age. Maybe he has no kids or grand kids. Young person calling girl in her early 20's aunt is insulting. She's not that old. Rude. In u.s. we just use sir, ma'am, miss. Assumes nothing about age.
