After all these years, I never knew wolverine has his healing factor as a passive ability in this game. His yellow health refills slightly after taking a hit. I knew it was a command special in X-men:COTA but not in this. Kinda neat to go back and see the minor details.
Man, the amount of time and quarters I put into this game! There was one at the small arcade we had in the movie theater I worked in and then I got it on PS1. Couldn’t get enough of it!
To be fair they did in 2012 with marvel vs capcom and barely anyone bought it. People always demand these games but the sales numbers never meet the demand.

It's a shame the character kind of disappeared off the face of the earth once the X-Men films and later the MCU made the pop-culture version of Marvel the *only* version of Marvel. @@gusbabiski Unpopular? Homie, in the comic book scene she's been plenty popular since the 80s. Certainly more so than someone like Ant-Man or any given member of Guardians of the Galaxy was before the MCU created the current public perception. Do you think she got into most of the Capcom-produced Marvel fighting games on accident??? Anyways, here's to hoping that she makes an appearance in the Deadpool films at some point.
Max playing Marvel superheroes, oh yeah let's go. The game that started it all for future MVC games and beyond. The sprite animation still holds up to this day and is beloved by games every where. Now if we can get a retro fighting game like this featuring Marvel characters Vs DC characters like this along with guest characters from other comics then we will be in business. Question who would you put into a game like that with Marvel and DC?
Is this ur first time in the channel? Max has been playing Marvel super heroes, sometimes Xmen children of the arom and mvc1 very regularly...more regular than modern fighting games
6 characters you know is gonna be in no matter what is Spiderman, Captain America, and Ironman for Marvel and for DC it's Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman.
First the obvious: for Marvel Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Spider-Man, Hulk, and Wolverine/Cyclops, for DC: Batman, Superman, Cyborg, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Flash.Then we select others that are less obvious, but still important: Cyclops/Wolverine, Venom, Robin, Magneto, Lex Luthor (in a robotic suit), any other X-Men character like Ice-Man or Gambit, etc. Then some more: like Fire Storm, Lobo, Yellow Lantern, you name it. And there we have a good roster.
The A.I was fair compared to Children of the Atom. Definitely my favourite Marvel game and I liked how some of the stages kept changing while you kept fighting.......wish more fighting games would do that.
Still have the Marvel Origins collection on ps3, with MSH and MvC1, lots and lots of fun. In this game I mostly played with wolverine and Dr. Doom. They should release this again on current consoles.

this is my favorite marvel fighting game i like the crossover games but ive always been more into super heroes then capcom characters. I really love darkstalkers though
This game is amazing, I remember playing this on a arcade machine at Noble Roman's where I lived, I always played it every time I went there. And Damn Psylocke looks good in this game, This has my favorite Design of her, She is thick as fuck with her thighs and her 3D model😍. Glad to see Max playing this again. Combos in this game are insane
That game is incredibly fun, Sadly a big part of the Fightcade players are just fucking Wolverines that dont know to do nothing more that only infinites cuz yeah, that seems very fun.
Hopefully we might get a fusion of Shuma Gorath and Gargantos in Multiverse of Madness, but that seems to be highly unlikely. Doctor Strange’s trailer reveal it is Gargantos. He has spikes on his head. Capcom’s Marvel Super Heroes is a classic!
I like how the comments would mostly be adults or children not understanding what is the potential of Marvel Comics. Just being outright attracted to the only female fictional character in the game. And wanting to feel the so called “hype” moments of the game and Max himself. It feels like r/adultsoninternet again.
Man I really hate Wolverines voice in this game, especially when he says drill claw, about annoying as foot dive foot dive foot foot dive! Sometimes it sounds like “kill all”. Berserker barrage is also very annoying
