Bernardwill 7196 , is absolutely right . The truck is made in the late 60s and 70s . It was made in West Germany , and slightly modified in Belgium . It was well designed, sturdy, and very durable, extra powerful.
Was in Baghdad early 80's for a few years, before all this war shit. These trucks were all over the place being used. Bullet proof they are this model, like the bull nosed MAN at the time. Loads of these Mercs all over Africa as well. No wonder they were nick named ""HItlers Revenge", solid as a rock. Bit of a pig to get to the engine bay but strong trucks
This truck is not from 1935 , late 1970 or early 1980 . 1924 means 19 = 190 PS 24 = 24 tons capacity. I am a german , so I know it, thats all clickbait.
This thing is a curiosity... It's not a 19 ton truck. It has 3 axles - so it should be a 26 ton truck. The indication 1924 is no longer “up to date”. It's conceivable that there's been an OM442A in this thing for a long time... And then it has 350 HP... The variations are almost limitless. The last ones rolled off the production line in Wörth in the 90s. The CKD parts sets have gone all over the world. And when the machine arrives, one from the SK will also fit.The old face is also striking. 3-axle "Schwerer Kurzhauber" truck usually have the headlights in the bumper. Therefore original year of manufacture before 1967.
Thank you for making them, they are used all over the Gulf ~ Saudi Arabia, U.A.E, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Greece, Turkeye, the North African Sahel countries and beyond! The engines and drive train are simple and robust. Thank you again!🌹
Will probably separate long before it has the chance to rust. So no paint needed. Would give difficulty to weld back together then, you have to remove paint to weld. 😂
Очень правильно проделанная работа, под такими углами варится рама для ее удлинения, только перед установкой надо было покрасить раму с внутренной стороны.
Yes sir, innovation and imagination their working without the hyper over-regulated and sterile environment that a lot of modern industrialized countries uses. That can't function without a home Depot or the latest name brand tool
These are all workers working in Saudi Arabia, and based on the type of place in which they work, they may work in a remote place or in small villages. 1924. This number is the standard size in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and it is also the most famous and most expensive. The truck is German-made but is also produced in Saudi Arabia, Jeddah. Since approximately 1979 at the National Automobile Manufacturing Company, this model has continued in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1998, and the Actros began to be produced instead (symbolized by Juffali trucks, and they are still followed to this day at very large prices).
I am not German and I also know. this truck is actually an k 2624/40 and not a 1924. 1924 is a 4x2 truck; this one here is a 6x4. also this bonneted type truck was in production in many parts of the world until mid 90s. this one has a 6 ton front axle and 2x10 rear axle hence the 26. engine in both cases is an om355 inline 6 giving 240 hp hence the 24 in the name plate.
2628 has got two rear diffs. it is a 26 ton 240HP . used to be OM352 and now they use OM355 . Both models are being manufactured in Iran and you can buy a brand new one right now!

Mercedes stopped making them in the 80s because of EU regulations . New trucks with engines under the cabin . Put today, they’re still made in Saudia Arabia.
