UPDATE: there has been recent paint jobs going on at the school, repainting everything, the interior of the bathrooms are not affected! The doors were painted white today, and will be repainted navy blue again in the coming days! I’ll be coming back for another update at the area again to review it, and possibly, if it’s unlocked, a reshoot of both restrooms.
Normally these restrooms are locked, but, as I was walking through there, I was surprised that both bathrooms were unlocked, the women’s and the men’s. This old middle school was originally named, “ Center Junior High School “. It’s a very small school in area, however, the bathrooms are quite interesting to look at. This school was opened in the early 80s, but only lasted for at least until 2006, which then was abandoned and replaced by Wilson C Riles Middle School. The old campus was very briefly a charter school, for a good 4 years or so, it was then turned into the district office annex, which was confusing why they did such. The restrooms are the remaining clues of what was once, a middle school bathroom. Unfortunately, I was going to expect downings or Welcommes, but instead, the men’s restroom had 2000s welcommes, and the women’s, as I had shot in December, had downings. Overall, I really like the designs of both restrooms, mostly the men’s only.
So that’s a brief flashback story of what was once, a charter school, and a middle school importantly, hopefully, it doesn’t get demolished in the coming years.
