Jinjer is my favorite band

This one is about my favorite lyrically. There are Jinjer songs I like better as a whole but "The power of speech is idled away, poison is spilt, dirty mouths sting" "An individual with bitter inner world is the cause of deficiency of goodness and love"... I just love Tatiana's way with words. In her second language she's more poetic than most so-called songwriters in the U.S. - Glad to hear you're quickly gaining rank in the Jinjer Army! (aka becoming a fan)

To be fair, the "Booya!" makes a great deal more sense in the context of the OMV. And yeah, she *frequently* cites Gwen Stefani as a key influence on her clean singing style.

One thumb up for the cat. Another thumb up for her going from gentle to vocally hate fucking my eardrum by a chainsaw. I dig it. I got some old Gwen as well. Did you know Tragic Kingdom just turned 25? We're old fucks. Seems like just yesterday I was spackling my carpet with millions of almost juniors to her glory.

Nice reaction! Tatiana is an amazing vocal beast. No one compares to her, and the rest of the band's would all be stand outs In any other band, which makes Jinjer all around amazing. This band can do no wrong...

Had to drop a suggestion for Jinjer's MOST hardcore song - it's the only one with a Russian title and lyrics - off their sophomore album "Cloud Factory." You'll LOVE IT.

Love that you are digging Jinjer... This is the one that impressed me the most... The whole band has such a great musical range, its just awesome music and really defies genere

From the interviews I've seen with the band I knew this wasn't fake, because they are too humble and real to allow that imo. But to hear an explanation as to how we can tell, even if it went over my head, from someone who seems to know their sh't, was really interesting and tells me I at least read the band correctly, if that makes sense. Subscribed... looking forward to seeing some more, and hopefully discovering some other awesome talent that I have been missing out on that you are into. You like Jinjer so you Must have good taste. I'd be interested to know what you think of an album by Refused, The Shape of Punk to Come. It's one of my favourites. But I'll probably find out once I stop watching your Jinjer reactions and actually look at your playlist.

Again, great reaction I learned something new from. I did not know about vocalists using over enunciation to basically prove the authenticity of a one take, although as Chris Snyder pointed out Tatiana's normal enunciation is rather strong. Either way, normal habit or trick of the trade, the end result is the same. I saw someone in the comments mention one of my favorites, "Scissors". Great one to see how much the band has evolved in the last 9 to 10 years, and shifted from two guitarists to just one. Even though I think they've improved, "Scissors" (and honestly everything I've heard from "Inhale, Don't Breathe") is still great!

Good insight on the one takes. Everyone is comparing this to the Spiritbox one. I tried it and couldn't get into it, probably would be a good one to compare though. Yeah, I'm sure Scissors and Outlander you will like. It seems you like the newer stuff as well, so the Live in Kiev songs are a must. Prophecy wasn't my favorite, but it isn't bad. Almost reminded me of some old Coal Chamber a bit and her look.

New to your reviews, don't know how I snoozed but from what I've seen so far you absolutely understand music , I would never have compared Bungle transitions to Jinjers but definitely see what your saying.

So I know I keep commenting on your videos but you always mention things that make me want comment so my personal favorite Jinjer song in regards to Tatiana’s change up vocal style is the song “Home Back” which I think someone else mentioned. There’s no official video of it yet but Jinjer has mentioned that they’ll be doing videos for all the songs on the album Macro. Next you keep mentioning Mr. Bungle so I’m going to ask again that you react to another band that happened to release a video today as well and that is Tallah. The name of the video is “No one should read this” and it’s my favorite song off of their brand new album called Matriphagy. Their singer reminds me so much of the great Mike Patton I think you’ll get a kick out of it! Plus the song is Fucking Heavy and the video is disturbing which I assume is right up your alley!! Anyway still loving your reactions man!!!

Good reaction... but I have to say, the diction and the way she enunciates is always a little "extra" compared to other vocalists. That's why you can understand her growls better than just about anyone else.

I may have mentioned this song on one of your other reaction. But Home Back is musically so good and Tatiana fuks up the mic towards the end.

As always, I enjoyed your reaction video. I have mentioned before in another of your videos, you should try to get around to checking out Norwegian folk band Heilung. Specifically the live version of Krigsgaldr. I'm not saying stop with the Jinjer reactions, they are one of the most fun bands to react to and are just generally amazing across the board.

No pop filter and her sound is great.

She does over pronounce certain letters because she's not a native English speaker - her native tongue is Russian. She's said in interviews that she has to work very hard when rehearsing to get her annunciations the way she wants them. For me this makes her performances even better. She has such great pronunciation and it's not her first language. How lazy are we?

dunno if u take requests from the rabble but if you get around to it, id like to suggest "Sleepytime Gorilla Museum" (SGM) if you havnt heard them before. my personal all time fave band. you could mostly describe them as avant rock/metal folk (also very percussive). they crafted a few of their own instruments, very theatrical, they kinda look like the mad max cast in a hippy commune on stage. but they have some really interesting time signatures & switch ups typically challenging & attuned to the Bungle fan's ear. you may just love it. tracks id suggest: "1997" a more structured rock song. "The Donkey-headed adversary of Humanity" (theres a fan made vid on YT cut from live footage). "Angle of Repose"

"No hoard of value" is a hard song.
