I can't believe they saved that tin roof - that was a LOT of work!! The glass-encased map as a a backsplash was brilliant.

According to the New Zealand Rollingstock register it was built in 1909 and was in service as a passenger carriage until 1957.

I'm glad she included her ex in the build and his importance. It shows she has moved on and is grateful for both their hard work! Great build and happy trails.

I lived in one of these, except mine was on railroad siding and about every 6 months it was hooked up to a train and moved to a new place. My dad worked for the Santa Fe railroad

I can never forget this carriage and the wonderfull beautifull enormous scenic view. That surrounding, the view, that mountain, will eventually forget every thing in your life. I always dreamed of living in a train carriage after reading a book about kids doing this when I was in elementary. So as an adult everytime I see a person do this every once in a great while, I get super excited and reminded that dreams are still able to become a reality. Good job to the home owner ! My cousin worked for the railroad and had a caboose in his back yard. it was the neighborhood playground for many years. This brings back memories. As Bryce said I too appreciate the history that was kept intact. .

She's fantastic, what a vision of a place! We have a railroad car and railroad shack at the back of our property - the little shack has lovely blue ceilings and a wood stove. Not in a livable state, but the person who landscaped the place 60 years ago lived there while it went on. I love it. ❤

Of all of the tiny houses featured in the videos on this channel that I've so far seen, I think that this one's my favorite -- that first panning aerial shot showcasing the view of the countryside sold me before even seeing inside the train carriages and what the owner had done with them to make them into functional and beautiful living spaces!

I am so hooked on Tiny Houses. This is an amazing home. I like the two different train carriages. Especially the guest quarters. It gives you privacy in the main carriage for guests sleeping. So the main Carriage it's like a pretty one bedroom home. So all the meals are prepared in the main carriage and there's plenty of room for entertaining in and outside on the deck. your guests are closed and they have their own sitting area so if they feel like just hanging out and reading or being by themselves they can do that and not necessarily be restricted to just the bedroom or a bed area. Of course it has its own little private Deck with an amazing view from both perspectives of each carriage. the only thing I would have tried to do would be would have an indoor bathroom. But I do like the fact that at outdoor one would be something to have in case you're one toilet is backed up where you do have guests and they need to go to the toilet. I love all the character that's in that two different spaces and it feels really very much like a home. It shows that imagination, determination and hard work what you can achieve. I absolutely love it and I would consider it a work of art as well as a little piece of heaven to live in.

What a delightful restoration. Simply astounding. I got all excited when I heard her referring to "Big Sky Country", and saw the mountains surrounding her. That is the name most Americans know as referring to Montana. I paused to go read the info in the description and was amazed to find out it wasn't America at all. I also heard her refer to "Dunedin", which is a town not too far from me in FL, USA. It made me even more interested in seeing the video. And as usual, Bryce & Rasa didn't disappoint. Good on them. And her for that enchanting home.
