That was not cool to see you neutralize that rifle. I am a proud owner of a M44 that I restored. My heart hit the floor as soon as you cut the firing pin, and I died when you cut the barrel. As I’ve read through the comments I have not seen you explain what reasoning you had for doing that to this amazing work horse of a rifle.
Different customers, different tastes. What if this is going to a public collection? Besides this is America he can do what he wants but it would be nice if it was functional
Law regulations. There are countries you simply can't legally own something which is technically classified as a "Weapon of War" no matter how old or outdated. Laws don't always make sense.
I can't get over the transformation. Absolutely beautiful restoration. Why cutting the firing pin and slicing the barrel? Is tthhe barrel to weak to handle the force of the bullet released? Would love to have this rifle regardless. Thanks for the vid.
Here’s the thing tho the steel of the barrel didint look pitted and the wood looked rusty so this was a rifle he destroyed for a “restoration video”… shame on him…. Shame…..
He neutralized the firing pin and the barrel Because it would be illegal to have a gun that you can shoot and use it without a gun license, That's why he destroyed it.
Well I have to read This one has baked before even begins for 1 simple tiny and significant little reason that barely should be mentioned. Wood does not rust Rust might put a stain in but on it doesn't rust so you got the rifle from above the yard and then fake the rest😮
i think everyone in the comment section seems to not understand that in European nations its very difficult to own a gun be that there are some nations like Switzerland where it is legal to own but its difficult to own one so to people like this person here the only way they can own a gun that isn't live and all that they can own inert guns which are very abundant and popular in Europe for history nerds and people who like gun history so they have to neutralize the gun regardless of everything which involves cutting the barrels and sometime welding rods into the holes to add additional prevention of a person reactivating the gun, cutting or removing the firing pin all together and so on. With everything I just said he isn't butchering the gun cause he doesn't know what he is doing but more of listening to the laws and doing what he has to legally own the gun
Why would you neutralize the gun like that parts are writh lot more then gun even if barrels no good I'm all most thinking you could have fired that gun if rifling was good
It a good thing it a Mosin and you can find parts for it just about anywhere because they cut the firing pin off and a Barrel people can still get new ones and they will work better
It's true that Alexander Garlov, who's from Russia, is supposed to be my pen pal. I just didn't tell him the same thing. That's, I rely on friendship instead of a marriage relationship. I took Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart very seriously when they wrote, composed, sung, and performed the 1968 released recording called "I Wonder what she's doing Tonight," it's an anti marriage released recording. 🇷🇺 🤔 😉 😀 😀 😳 🇷🇺
Oh god :( i know laws can be hard and stupid, but even neutralizing the gun yourself doesnt make it legal, it needs to be done by an official to make it legal, if i were you i would have kept this mosin live firing, or gift it to a hunter or sporting shooter but not destroy it
