This lovely oil lantern (oil lamp) is a gift from a friend. It is a 40 year old FEUERHAND 275 BABY Western Germany (FH 275) which comes from the production period of 1955-1985. We hope you will like our restoration work on the lantern by watching this video.

Of course it does. Depending on the age, material and structure of them we would be able to transform them into something cool.

I am always wondering what type of primer and paint being used. Must it be a heat resistant ones like used for bbq grills, or any other ones will do?

Don’t understand why you painted it after the great clean up you did. To get small item galvanised is a simple home thing you can do. Great work
