Most people will never understand our lifestyle back in the day.. We were so proud of our culture .. The way we talked , the way we took pride on how we dressed .It"s all different now ( at least here in northern cali ).. Missed those days homies.

I still wear the military belt with letter on it ,no ben Davis, LA raiders hat ,and it's crazy how everyone gets cursive writing tattoos when us Chicanos were the first to make that style it had meaning and our style.

My grandpa and dad all claimed sureño and dressed like this, now I find myself dressing like this. Not for the gang shit but just because Im growing up around the style. Which is very nice and sharp if I do say so myself

My tios Used to dress like this back in the day when I was a kid. Even then I knew there was some pretty shady shit going on. They're both settled down now and have families thank goodness. But they still carry that chicano pride with them till the day they die. really good video here man

I'm black and from the east coast, and I know people r saying their proud of this culture, but to me its sad because I see a spirit of death when I watch this...like so many young people being killed for nothing during this time... The east coast was bad too, but it didn't have this spirit of death that stands out like that

I always like looking at the old school 70's Chicano days. Just not like how it used to be, and it will never be like that ever again. If only you grew up around that life style in Modesto, Whittier, San Bernardino, and east L.A. in the 70's-90's then you probably still know how it really was. My dad, uncle, nana, grandpa used to live in those areas in the 80's .the days when collecting baseball cards was the shit. My dad gave them to me. It's like a whole book of old school baseball cards from the 80's.

This was a pretty interesting video to watch. The music was good too.

I'am Mexican but....When I lived years ago in Riverside and San Bernardino California 1992-99 ...I dressed like this homies on Middle school and High School ......I loved it the Chicano Culture....i was very young...it brought me trouble dressing like this.....sometimes gangs members they confussed me in the past but It was not gangster....people made fun of me,they called me "Cholo sin Barrio" ha ha ha ha........I dressep up with PRIDE The Chicano Culture!!!....I miss them a lot mis carnales and carnalas!!!....."Viva La Raza" Respect From Mexico!!!!!

Oldest and most beautiful cultura in America!

Grew up in Maravilla in East Los. Had family from different neighborhoods...the homies would dress sharp. Starch their clothes...they really knew how to iron. People used to walk or cruise down Whittier. Shop or shoplift at Johnson markets...buy their imperials from Florsheim and pendletons and shirts from Al's Army and Navy. People back in the day weren't scared to walk out in public and represent....now you hardly see any homeboys out on the streets. The old school homeboys used to have respect and looked after the younger kids...and if they disrespected because they were drunk or high they would apologize to the mothers and fathers if they got a little out of hand.

I remember doing time in Eastlake Central juvenile hall (Los Angeles California) in 1990 seeing the placasos from these OG’s. I remember some old gangs like Tepa 13, Temple St., Huérfanos gang just to name a few. I even did Ricardo M time in latherop hall.
