Chiquita (14 yrs) has been BP fan since she was 8 year old, there are videos. Her mother said Chiquita told her that she wants to become artist in YG when she was 10 years old. The mother featured in Chiquita introduction video. She has been training even before joining YG, that was her goal. Her big brother is also idol trainee!!! Also YG doesn't make his idols do fan survice video calls, and other stuff that very common with other companies.
Their official debut mv came out few days ago! Baby monster- batter up has broken the record for the most views within 24 hr for a debut. Nearly 22 millions views within a 24 hr mark!
Chiquita has featured in Thailand movies and series, has participated in dance competitions before joining YG. - Rora has featured in Korean movies and was part of vocal group. - Haram/Rami was a baby model since 2 years of age and has done lots of adds. - Ruka was also part of dance group, and vocal group in Japan and she has also acted in TV show. - pharita was a runway model in Thailand. Very successful one. Won first place in modelling competitions. - I don't know much about ahyeon and asa.
yes!! Ruka and Rora are my bias, love this duo, Ruka is a fire rapper and the best dancer, Rora is one of the best vocalists and a good dancer too, I'm absolutely in love
The Baby Monster group selection and training started more than 6 years ago. Ruka and Asa are the only remaining members of the original Baby Monster group which had an American and 2 Chinese girls who got dropped. The other 4 newer members have 4 years training now but it was after the discovery of Chiquita when YG was ready to debut Baby Monster. She is that 13 year Old with onlyn2 years training. But she is a genius performer and very much a baby Lisa of Blackpink. That is why the age gap. Chiquita is the final piece of the Baby Monster puzzle. With her YG launched.
Asa changed some of the lyrics though. And she can write her own lyrics. In fact she's credited as one of the lyricist in their debut song. I think there's nothing wrong with covering the songs as long as you put your own flavor and character to it. And that's what they did.
not sure if you watched the rest of their stuff... but the oldest member, Ruka is basically like the youngest.. lol she's what they called a "matnae" (oldest but act like youngest). So yeah, she blends right in with the "age group"
Its funny how people have opinions on someone choice. They think they have more right abd say than the parents too. YG entertainmen had the best environment and curriculum for pre-teens trainees and up. Unfortunately not many know this... As long as they're happy im good. Gdragon was 13yr rapping with big boys.
I mean, that's all well and good, but doesn't change my opinion on the matter. Just because someone chooses to do something, doesn't mean other people can't have an opinion on it. If you saw a 13-year-old drinking and smoking with tattoos, I'm sure you'd have an opinion on that, right? But then, how can you have an opinion on someone's choices, right?
THANKYOU! I hoped to see this reaction. Also people don't know YG doesn't do like other agencies PARADING idols on TV shows and other shit. They're soo overprotected that make many parents drawn to YGE. The issue is that many people compare American scene and put their experience of other young artist on K-pop. He is right. Some agencies are awfull to young idols and expose them to things that are harmful. But YGE is on a different level They showedit in the survival too. Anyone that knows YGE would understand. It's hard explain to someone who already formed his or her opinion based on other agencies abd stories.
@KBourneReacts Do you know what idol means in Korea? Pre teen to teens. Please go research ahead of kpop idols. Times have changed but essence of kpop is idoldom.. demographic of fans are teens and early 20's.
@@KBourneReacts I would've issues with 13yr old smoking and tattoos. Yes, don't see any relevance to what im saying. Under age smoking is and tattoos is illegal and morally unacceptable. How do you compare that to talented teens that are in a protected environment doing what they love abd is socially acceptable. I get why people are worried but those who are forget two things... kpop history and what agency they belong to.
The thing with Haram is she made the song hers, she didn't just imitate the original. And that's so difficult to do, not everybody can do this. That's really a valuable thing as a singer
Just FYI Haram changed her stage name to Rami. It's a nickname used by the other members. There has been speculation that it was changed because Haram in arabic means forbidden. I doubt that's true since there is a Haram in Billlie, which is another reason why they might have changed it.
Great Reaction KBourne! I think the way it works when you have someone that is of age they just tone it down as a group! But they will also be able to have Solos and then they can cut loose! That RUKA can still experience the other side of the spectrum! Also I think you skipped a Dance Practice that 5 of the 7 did Pharita and Chiquita had not arrived yet so only 5! ⚾️🙏🏻
Yea that is true. But I just think they should group them closer in age. I remember Jeongyeon talking about how much she hated that cutesy stuff when they started, because she was already 20. Had they all started as adults, She wouldn't have felt that. But also TWICE may not be who they are today either. I have the dance practice on the books to watch, I just watched the live performance singing and stuff first.
@@KBourneReacts Also consider the fact that RUKA has spent the longest time as a trainee not only in YG but also another company that she is grateful to finally debut and unfortunately she only thinking about all the sacrifices her mom went through while all her friends went to college and are now able to help their families and she’s just been training! I think she’s just grateful!🧸🙏🏻
React to baby monster last evaluation ep 1- 8 eng sub on youtube then you will know who they are. You will see blackpink Jennie and Lisa mentoring them also! Same agency as blackpink- YG entertainment. Thousands of teenagers auditioned and after 3-5 years of training only 7 were finally picked. 7 members but only 6 debuted this time. 6 out of 7 are minors and one of them is 14 years old which is the ice princess in this videos. Baby monster- batter up has broken the record for the most views within 24 hr for a debut. Nearly 22 millions views within a 24 hr mark!
@@KBourneReacts I recommend finishing most of it before February 1st as that is when they are releasing their new song which is supposed to be more vocal/RnB than hiphop. April is their first album so they are releasing music quick unlike BP does.
Babymonster was about to debut in 2019/2020 with other trainees (like Julie Han 2000, Hanbyul 2004…) but they have waited for so long so some of them left the company. Hanbyul is great rapper! It’s sad that Hanbyul left YG, I hope she would debut in sub YG label- The Black Label new girl group! I agree that they will be limited in the concept, and choreography! Like Blackpink debut with all members above 19-21, the sexy and girl crush concept works so well on them. After Batter Up release, I think YG choose a good concept for them, Im so happy the choreo fit all their ages! I also agree the older girls will want to changed concept in the future! If the other girls may want to switch to mature concept, I think they can work as a small units or do solo activities and have their own colour musics! For Big age gap group, I would recommend and love TripleS the most, they have girls born 2001-2008/9 and they have 24 members. But the company let fans choose the concept and the members for the songs. So people can choose adults group and minors group with suitable songs. And that’s what I love about their concepts! I hope you would react to them! Btw, I like your reaction!
Damn that was a long time ago... I can understand why some left. As for the rest, I totally agree, but hopefully it doesn't hinder them much. I mentioned to someone else how Jeonyoung hated the cutesy stuff when TWICE first started. As for TripleS, your in luck. I reacted to them a week or so ago.
I agree with the concept thing with the age gap, but to be fair, they can always do sub units or solo stuff with for more mature until then. But I agree the age gap limits the concept.
Imagine if Chiquita is not allowed to debut because she is too young, then she will have to wait for the next gg to debut and that will be 7 yrs later.
@@KBourneReacts If you are a trainee in YG, it is difficult to move to the other big 3. YG typically debut a new gg in 6 to 7 years. It might be different in future but will Chiquita bet on it being earlier?
@@KBourneReacts i disagree, so long as the talent is there and the agency will make sure that Chiquita is well equipped and ready to be an idol, then, it's her time to shine.let's not hindier a great talent because of age. And one more thing, these girls auditioned to YG, it's not like invited to join the group Baby Monster, they auditioned, trained for 5 years( aside from Chiquita- 1 1/2 years) and selected to join the group.
