Square baling some 2nd cutting hay with my David Brown 990 and New Holland 311. I raked it up with my Ford 601 and New Holland 57. We also used my dads Ford 4000 and his OBS Ford to haul it in.
Hahaha! Haven't heard of Armstrong steering before this. That's kind of like the '255 air conditioner' in my 68 Mustang. You roll 2 windows down, and drive 55 mph! 😂
I do no if you ever got them there but in the UK we used to have a flat eight sledge that was pulled behind the baler and left eight bales so you could pick up and load easy
Armstrong steering is a THING, if it ever gets too bad get a steering quickener like you see on some racecars and put it on the steering shaft upside-down. You have to put in more turns, but it gets way easier. Howdy from Anderson County!
I know all to well what armstrong steering is. Thicker windows makes better bales. Can you bale a gear higher with less RPM's it will help your baler not to throw the hay away from your pick up.
