You want to use damage reflection on low MD high model units, so tree kin are actually a very bad unit to use them on. It only does damage if they fail the defense roll. Using it on something like peasants is hilarious because it basically turna them into suicide bombers.
This spell honestly needs a little bit of a buff with + physical resit or something. As is it's such a niche spell that never gets used if it isn't a bound spell. And even as a free one it isn't that great most of the time
@@Icewolfnector In general the buff/debuff and utility spells need to cost like less of a quarter than direct damage spells to be as cost effective. Even then it's arguably more tactically significant to kill models near instantly with expensive spells than help your units grind out another in the span of 20 seconds or more.
@@shiggydiggy6847 Buff and debuff spells would be better if units took damage getting knocked on the ground and didn't gain invulnerability. At the moment even after 3.0 units often don't take damage getting knocked down and large monsters have terrible animations that don't hit their targets. I do think the buff and debuff spells are useful in large vs large sem fights as even a single caster using harmonic convergence can get tons of value since the monsters don't miss or fall on the ground. Or elite vs elite unit fights. And with the nerfs to the anti infantry spells buff/debuff spells can compete. Damage spells can miss or hit your own units.
man I missed these guys. Idk I feel like we see a lot of game 3 factions nowadays, so it is nice to see some of these older factions make an appearance!
I don’t think that artefact bug is because of the map - I’ve noticed since 3.0 some units like chaos spawn and Minotaurs cause that to happen when you zoom in close to them and have them selected/have your mouse hovered over them
The margin of not taking objective two was eye-watering, honestly could argue the WE player looked at the graphic for the objective progress and assumed it was taken.
Yep, the way the UI is designed is just atrocious.. that, combined with points not having to pass through a 'neutral' state when capping just makes it all worse.
I only found this guy recently, but holy. I did not realize this quality of content existed in the RTS space and I've been hooked for the last week and a half.
I've really been enjoying your content Turin. Been a nearly day one TW: Warhammer player and I've been watching your gameplay & coverage nearly a year now and I've had a blast watching these top tier players go after it. Thank you.
Your comment about being a state trooper facing minotaurs led me on a mental train of thought about how effective a hyper-disciplined unit of monstrous infantry with spears, probably ogres for the empire, would be in the old world. I mean you would probably only need like 30 troops for a good formation, and another 30 in reserves. But if they could hold a spear formation they would be a devastating tool for the empire. I mean imagine a phalanx with pikes as thick as pine trees, 2 deep 15 wide. They would probably be able to hold off against an immense amount of monsters like minotaurs. Awesome ideas, i love the idea of disciplined, trained, monstrous infantry. Its just the coolest thing to me.
A phalanx 2 lines deep is a bit of an oxymoron since the strength of a phalanx was the literal forest of pikes at least 8 ranks deep. The ogres would be better off using their giant pointy sticks as clubs in the kind of formation you described.
i think letting the butchers live without finishing them off for so long is actually pretty good because the beastmen player cant resummon them for a long time if you keep them routing over and over again, they were weak enough for a normal glade rider to keep poking them down and not getting much value
I would argue that Wood Elves are pure carnivores. They have an alliance with the trees and the spirts that in habit them. Flesh an blood is good fertilizer.
"Imagine being a non-character Infantry in warhammer fantasy" Not hard, just picture the last thing you'll see before dying amongst the thousands of possibilities that exist, since your life won't be long enough for you to experience much more xD
The artifacting is resultant from some models having issues with the blood textures. If you turn off the blood DLC, the artifacting goes away! Sucks, but better than the alternative
Do you think it would be too complicated to setup some kind of subscription on Total Tavern? I'd like to support but don't want to give my money, or my details to RU-vid or Patreon.
