I’d trade Kirk Franklin, Tye Tribbett, etc. for this kind of praise and worship ANY DAY! No showboatin’ and clownin’ ... focused totally on praising God!
Now this was how the church would be... The whole congregation is the choir and praise team. Anyone could sing a song even if you wasn't the best singer
Good ole days. I don't go to church like I use to but listening to songs like this and other gospel songs I grew up with soothes my soul. It brings peace. Church isn't like it use to be now days.
Losing a grandparent is traumatic at least you have this to look back on. I grew up going to the Shady Grove primitive Baptist Church in Floyd with elder Preston and elder johnson
No music but you can still dance 💃🕺they don't have to depend on no musicians to get there praise on all I hear is feet stamping and hands clapping let every thing that have breath praise the lord
I can watch the gentleman at the start of this all day. The whole video is good but when he (I believe the minister) begins dipping and bopping, as he is feeling what he is singing about - his home beyond the city 🔥🔥🔥👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
No electricity needed. We got the Holy Spirit to provide us with energy and Yeshua the Messiah gives us our freedom regardless of anything going on in earth. God bless these Elders
This Is Not Just Roanoke😊I've Heard This All Of My Life While Growing Up In Southeast Alabama😊Hearing This Feels Like Home To The Sunday Afternoon Singings🙏
This is what church was. You new the Lord was in His house. Gave you Hope. Every body had love for each. Bring tears to my eyes cause people have turned their back on God. Lord hear our prayers. Never thought I will live to see your church close down. Help us Lord.
Thank you so much for posting this video and sharing music like this. Brought back great memories from my childhood in service at my Grandmother's church.
@Mikayla Ragsdale....I’m seeing this for the first time and it blessed my soul. I love to hear and see my Elders worship the Lord....straight from the heart. He certainly seemed like a family jewel. God bless you!!!
Oh God, we sang like this growing up in the 60s. I can just see everyone fanning with those MLK funeral fans. People stumping those wooden floors with the rythum of the clapping. Not to mention the excitement we had in service. Even us bad kids would stop to join in the praise.😊 Thanks for posting.
Yes sing sing! People didn’t need drums overshadowing the singing. You actually feel something and you are not the same after an experience like this. No falling asleep in church or bored
Yes yes this sounds like a Army for our Lord Jesus Christ a whole army marching and singing for Jesus thank you Jesus for all you did for us and still doing for us I’m not ashamed to say I love you Jesus my lord and savior thank you 🙏❤️🙏
