If you guys did not know…. Jesse Leach is the original singer and current vocalist, white dude with a mowhawk ish hair Howard Jones is the brother in this song, who took over for Jesse after their first album and carried them for YEARS & successful Then Howard left and Jesse came back and I think Howard suffers from Diabetes and mental health and Jesse left for mental health issues too at the start of their career THE SIGNAL FIRE, is a song from their last album that features Howard Jones and Jesse Leach singing… YOU SHOULD DO THAT Come on Kyle more KILLSWITCH!! Eric don’t be fooled, they are heavy
Also Howard Jones is in a new band, not sure if they’re still around but I believe they were called “light the torch” Heard them some years back and I’m like “wtf that sounds like Howard” and sure enough it was lol
I'm always sad to see the radio edit used for the reactions. It's so unfortunate they used it in the official video. That being said, welcome to KsE Eric!! One on my favorite bands, no matter who's on vocals. I first heard Jesse on their album, then my first live show had Howard on vocals. Enjoyed everything Howard did, but was very excited when Jesse returned.
Rose of Sharyn is the song I use to intro new listeners to Killswitch. Such a banger. A very powerful song for me in some formative years of my life as I lost my mother very early. That would be my vote for the next one.
If you guys want an absolute thrasher, The Signal Fire by killswitch engage is an incredible song that they used to basically pass the torch from Howard Jones back to the original vocalist Jesse Leach and the duo they do is really something special.
I have never heard of this band but thank you for introducing them. I love the sound as well. I am definitely going to start listening to more of their music.
Please react to more of their stuff! Would love to see My Curse, This Fire Burns or The Signal Fire, but you can't do wrong with any other of their songs. Killswitch always delivers.
what i wish could happen more with metal vids like this is to spotlight the drummers more. cuz ofc we’ll want to know what the singer is saying and all of the other people in the bands, but still.

definitely do my curse. I credit that song as being one one of the things that got me into listening to metal. Its just iconic and still one of my favorite metalcore songs to date.
I'd definitely love to see more Killswitch! Arms of Sorrow, Rose of Sharyn and My Last Serenade are classic bangers by them, as others have said, but I would also highly recommend some of their newer stuff such as Signal Fire, In Due Time and Always!
Rose of Sharyn, My Last Serenade.....And definitely prioritise the version of A Bid Farewell from their live DVD. Shockingly good recording/performance!
I remember first hearing this song at the end of Resident Evil Apocalypse when it first came out. Been a fan since. Still use this song as my ringtone, no shame. Definitely do My Curse next.
This band will always be my #1 band. I am a true fan boy! I will always be loyal to these guys even if their next album is shit. I've listened to every album, every song, and every lyric. I love Howard Jones. Much respect fo Jessie for kicking this band off in classic Killswitch fashion and Im happy he came back but...Howard is the fucking man! I wish I heard this video 10 months ago I would have shared the hell out of it. I wish you guys would go through more. You also need to check out "Light The Torch" Howard Jones's new band, and even Times Of Grace which is a collaboration between Adam D. and Jessie. Amazing metalcore and melodic sound!
One of the best bands live hands down, with both Howard and Jessie they are incredible. Also Adam the main guitarist and writer dances around the stage and does a lot of the screaming haha
In due time is really good. Even with a different front man. All the instrumentals are what makes this band awesome brings me right back to my high school days.
Fun little note. An AEW wrestler (a rival company for wwe that started about 4 years ago) named rodrick strong comes out to this song as his entrance song

Howard Jones has such an iconic voice that you hear it you cant be like hmmmm wonder who that is. The vocal ranges and control are ridiculous. And Kyle you were spot on the guitar work is always spot on, massive tone , cordal structure, riffs for days, great reaction as always.

Killswitch Fixation on the Darkness is SICK. Great song to check out. Also Rose of Sharyn, Last Serenade, When Darkness Falls, Arms of Sorrow, A Bid Farewell, Take This Oath, Self Revolution, he'll honestly there first 3 major albums are great.
There was a DVD release at that time called ,Set the world ablaze. It had a live show and one of the best behind the scenes doco thing of the band through the first couple of albums. It's quite the ride, I recommend you check it out.
Howard Jones was just featured the song “aura” by ONI. Never heard of the band before. BUT I LOVE THE SONG. Give it a listen!!! And everything and everything KSE
The Signal Fire is peak Killswitch, but probably a bit of a departure from the Howard era. Holy Diver and Rose of Sharyn are just *chefs kiss*, My Curse is awesome, Arms of Sorrow is like End of Heartache 2. Those are largely Howard era, and Jesse era 1 - My Last Serenade is early 2000 metalcore distilled into a perfect 3 minutes. Fixation on the Darkness is a banger, Life to Lifeless is catchy as anything but the first Jesse era has very clean vocals and catchy hooks, but more brutal. I love both in all honesty.
